Exactly, we don't even know what the starting I line looks like yet, but who the new center is key for me prior to any "scientific wild a** guesses" yet..😂

Haha. For real. I feel pretty good about the rest of the team and starters pending any injuries of course.

Yup, me too. I don't have a crystal ball.about Trey, other than so far I like him, feel good about our defense, but Oline and especially center....hard to guess until I at least see a preseason lineup play .

Preach!
I'm 'starting' to lean towards 8-9.

I was reminded we played 20 games last year including a record, 12 road games. Remember what happened after we played 18 in 2019? 2020, we nearly broke an all time AGL (injuries) record. Tough schedule (AFCW), 12 coaching and FO changes, new OL, new QB, etc.

Man, this is a tough one.

Someone pass over those rose-colored glasses, please!

We also had abbreviated OTAs and Training Camp in 2020, so blaming the injuries on the number of games seems a bit of a stretch.

NC...

Where do I even begin? We went the NFCCG with and went 3-1 vs the SB clubs with a sandwich artist.

We had the #3 D in football with Norman punching balls and Kirkpatrick running around and Ryans in year 1 as DC. It is clear as day Ryans aged like fine wine over the course of the year look at the D performance from GB early season to GB playoffs..

We upgraded the QB position (Lance), the RB position (TDP), the WR position (Gray), OL has McG back and Banks: Combat Evolved, DL has Jackson, DB we have gone mathematical with Ward squared, and Ambry ver. 2.0.

We even upped our kick return game (Ray-Ray) and our kick cover game (Odum). Our #2 QB has starter potential.

Remember Deebo's year 3 leap? Now it's BA's turn.. that gives us two flat out devastating ones... with a rocket armed athletic FQB and Kittle and a KS run game

Did I mention we have the #1 LT and #1 FB in the game? Plus Bosa & Warner?

Who wants a piece of this? No one. SEA sees what is coming and has put it into reverse / rebuild mode..

True but teams who typically make a deep run or go to the Superbowl are known to fall off the following year. I would imagine a big part of that is the extra games, less time off, it's normal to relax some the next year, etc. And now it's an extra game.

Look at Kyle...dude got 1 week off before he had to hire and start training an entire new coaching staff.

So, it's just a factor...not a certainty. Just has me pondering.

PS: Juice just talked about how long the season was with the extra game plus playoffs and he's had to change his off season training as a result.

We didn't go to the Superbowl or make a deep run in 2020. We did in 2021.

TBF, I think I've only got the win-loss right once or twice in these threads.

So maybe I should.

8-9? Yikes. The only way I see that happening Is because of one or two things.

1. O-Line would need to have serious issues ( possible )
2. Lance would need to struggle for the most part ( possible, but unlikely Imo )

Honestly, I see the 9ers doing what they did for the first eight games or so from 2019, and that's having success running the ball, whilst the Defense ranks In the top 5 again.

By the mid-way point, we should see be seeing Lance hit Is full stride Imo.

I see this team as having too much talent overall to be missing out on the playoffs.

Think positive

Haha. I consider everything.

1. For sure.
2. Many forget how poor first year QB's numbers are. That doesn't mean they are playing poorly overall but that usually that first year is rough on the stat sheet no matter the talent. And that will affect the W-L's.

But I can definitely see a path you are describing too.

Making the playoffs in year one would be huge!

Nice one. Who are we playing in the big game?

I think contenders are Buffalo, Baltimore, KC, Indy, Russell Wilson and whatever team JG ends up on

I would prefer someone we've lost to so we can even the series. Absent that ...

For me the most likely opponents, in no particular order, would be: Chiefs, Bills, Bengals

Probable dark-horse opponents: Chargers, Broncos, Ravens

Possible dark-horse opponents: Colts, Titans, Raiders

I don't believe that any team below "probable" on my list has a legit shot, but we all know that $#!t happens sometimes so things can always change.

49ers - Raiders.. now that would be a Super Bowl..

My man!
This team is stacked. Best case scenario, no major injury....14-3. Lance gonna make it look easy. I'm all in.
