Last season, it was Jimmy's job to lose. Experience trumped over raw talent. This season, its Trey's job to lose. Experience won't save Jimmy this time.

Wouldn't Trey still be considered raw since he still has no real experience?

You do realize he wasn't even given the opportunity to do that, right? You don't get to unseat the starter as the scout QB throughout the yr. You don't get to unseat the starter when you're given next to nothing in 1st string reps from day 1 of camp.

Not allowing Lance to an opportunity to compete with Jimmy since day 1 was part of the problem. All that valuable experience he kissed out on because the 9ers decided to roll the dice with Jimmy for yet another year, when all those reps should have gone to Lance Imo.

But isn't that on Kyle? I pushed for Jimmy to start because given everything I knew about Trey at the time, it would have set the team back last year. But not even giving trey the opportunity to fight for the job? That's all on Kyle.

But various reports show that Trey had really exceeded expectations at first, and then he leveled off. That's not inline with the position that he wasn't even give a chance to compete.

Lance was pretty much redshirted. It's been known since he was drafted. What's so hard to understand?

That's why I said experience won't save Jimmy this time. Trey's talent will trump Jimmy's experience.

Redshirted by Kyle because he preferred to stick with an average QB all season? The same QB most are blaming for the NFCCG loss. Jimmy missing all those throws against the Rams Isn't something new..

I agree, and that's why I wanted him ( Trey ) to start last season too. Let him take his lumps and grow from It. There was nothing point sticking with an average QB just to play It safe

It is what it is at this point. At the very least, Trey got a little taste of what it takes to go deep into the playoffs.

Kyle wanted him to learn.

Everything else you said is opinion and irrelevant. Pretty much grasping for anything. This isn't hard. He was to sit and learn.
