Will our offense be different with Lance?

It all depends. If Trey is capable of taking our offense to the next level, then yes. If he's not, then no.

Reminds me of the Alex fans saying Andy was happy with his bad passing offense and only wanted dink and dunk….. Lol no.

Dink and dunk is brought about by limited QB play, not a coach that seemingly loves a limited passing offense.

If NY85 is right then by the end of the season we'll be calling him - Trey *The Mad Bomber* Lance.

if the line is as horrid as i suspect it could be..... well. i hope pain is something trey enjoys. and it would not shock me if trey gets hurt due to the ineptness of the o line. and then i really do not want to hear. well.. lots of nfl teams get their franchise qb hurt cuz they foolishly over valued their offensive line

unless it becomes as the " READ & RUN " offense
Much better mobility in n out of the pocket (more extended plays). More deeper completions. Shanny will have him ready just enough

When defenses realize crowding the box doesn't work and dare him to throw, they'll soon find out he's not a sandwich type of guy

Personally if Trey gets hurt, I'd want Brock Purdy to play. The reasoning behind this is that if you lose your QB 1, your season is toast. (I don't anticipate Jimmy being here at the start of the season.) I want to see Brock play in Kyle's offense, and I'd like to see the whole offense continue to get acclimated to a mobile QB and develop new kinds of offenses -- like a hybrid/scramble drill offense - for example. I hope Trey never get's hurt, but if he does, I'd love for Purdy to play, play well, and hopefully (like a more talented Mullens) maybe squeeze a day 3 draft pick out of him in a couple of years.

It sounds like it'll be a very similar offense to Jimmy's, with possible improvements in INT rate and total TDs. Should expect short/intermediate throws with a few shot plays per game.

I think Kyle's run offense is probably one of the most complex in all of football. He hybrids together both the gap/power and zone runs into one offensive scheme. I wouldn't mind seeing more of Kyle's run offense because it's so entertaining to me. Banks, Zakelj, and Sutherland are bigger than Kyle's usual guards, and on the run game I can see both Banks and whoever wins the right guard spot being both zone and man blockers. If this OLine can develop into one of the better zone and man run blockers, this run offense - by itself - will be very hard to stop.
I think we will go thru some growing pains only because Jimmy and Trey have such different talent sets. Running game aside, the Niners offense is built around quick hitters over the middle and that may not be Treys sweet spot yet. So it takes time to implement new plays for Trey. Receivers need to learn new routes, OL need to learn new blocking schemes etc.

We will get there but Rome wasn't built in a day.
Kyle has already shown us the offense will be different with the games he called when Trey was the starting QB.

They were quick installs with little notice, rather than having a whole off-season to tailor it to Trey's strengths.

We'll still run the ball, and still use Kyle's base offense, but we've already seen more plays with the primary option being deeper and towards the sidelines.

This will grow

I rewatched all his snaps including pre season recently and I think outside the hashes and at the sidelines are going to be his bread and butter. The reason is because it's simple 1on1 and he's got the strength to win those vs. inside where timing and traffic rule. He and Jimmy will end up having an inverted spray chart until Trey gets more and more comfortable and experienced inside.

The inside will open up as teams need to account for the outside with Lance... if he starts completing those passes. There was so much traffic on the inside for jimmy, is that Defenses know he's not going to the outside
