So basically outside of a massive increase in rushing stats, Maiocco has Trey in his first year as a starter replicating a typical Jimmy G season.

Yeah, he should have played last year.

"Close" so that would leave room for players such as Gray, Dwelley, Ray-Ray, Jennings, etc. getting some yards too.

Makes sense. If the rushing goes up, the passing opportunities go down so if he got 3,200 yards with less passing attempts, that's a great first year esp. if he's wildly efficient and it leads to great TOP and W's.
3200 is a clown number.

That's 188 pass yds per game..

Sam Darnold is at 210.

JG was at 254 in this offense last year.. Heck Mullens in this offense was 240+

3200 yards would be underwhelming to say the least. I expect Kyle to unleash Lance.

Lance 2022 stats

16 starts
4592 pass yds
42 pass TDs
11 INTs
496 rush yds
5 rush TDs

I'm thinking 609 attempts..

Yards per game here would be 287 he'll get this with the volume.. more throws than last year.. you don't draft a QB #3 overall cuz you want him to handoff..

4600 passing yards and 42 passing TD's is an outrageous expectation for a first year starter. I could see something close to that in 2-3 years though. Also, just because you can, doesn't mean you have to.

I thought my expectations we're high, but damn.. . If Lance puts up though type of numbers, 9ers are most likely winning the super bowl. I see something similar to these stats.

4000 pass yards. 28 pass TDs. 10 Ints
300 rush yards. 5 rush TDs.

Just FYI faithful predicted Jimmy to throw for 400 yards and 4 TDs almost every game lol.

I'd like Trey to hit 4000 in 17 games. maybe 40 TDs total. 10-15 turnovers.

Wow. Those would be league MVP numbers. That would be a massive shift from run-centric to pass-centric. That would be a ton of fun to watch. That's for damn sure.

It'll be fun to revisit this thread at the quarter marks and see how it's going.

With Kyle in the think-tank and planning for this for 2 years, anything can happen.

Yessir. With big draft status and top shelf tools comes high expectations. Not saying I would be disappointed if he falls short on these.. far from it.. A lot depends on the usage. If KS goes with his patented 40 runs strat, throw these numbers out the window.. I figure if that was the plan there would be no need to get TL. KS and JL know this so that must not be the plan. I think we want to go with a more Buffalo or KC style approach. With the ability to get those tough run yards when we need to.
