we've got what.. like 4 or 5 guys that can fill in

Most likely Feli will be the first option if Bren can't go

I'd like to see Feliciano get a look at C then Puni can jump in at RG.
We needed to draft a few more OL prospects over the last couple of years.

In addition to Feliciano - I think any of the non-starting guards can fill in as a backup center. Nugent and Kingston look promising, I hope they play the center position for a couple of reps in preseason to see if they can do it.
Still mind boggling how we neglect such a position of importance.

It's not so much ShanaLynch as Chris Forester (in my opinion) but that is changing. Feliciano is a good player and I think will be even a better center if Brendel can't go.

if Puni shows anything he should be the rg and feliciano should be the center week 1.

That's my hope too. My other hope is left tackle - they have several contenders for Trent William's back up - and I hope they hit (in a sense) a Brock Purdy of the offensive line in Brandon Parker and possibly Jarrett Kingston as good backup offensive tackles, the way Purdy was a good backup QB for a bit. My hope is that the 49ers can find a gem at left tackle so that they can free up some cap space next year for Purdy's monster contract. Signing Purdy to his second contract is going to a lot harder (in my opinion) than signing Brandon Aiyuk - next year.

Especially after the way Chris Jones stuck it to our oline with no lube in two super bowls now

It would've helped if we blocked him a few of those times tho

Agree, but hopefully next year - that changes.
I hope we don't go back to late round picks trying to strike it rich.

Trent Williams was a first round pick and it shows - big time.

We were very fortunate that Washington let him go.
We need a better center. Shany puts the world an OC. Bendel is an excellent backup

Not enough? I listed a page or two back on how much we invested in OL and it's a lot.
