Whoever is "grading" at PFF should check out jonny's latest video because Brendel has been atrocious in the run game
Pff seems great when it affirms what you see, but there's a reason players and coaches scoff at it. Our own film review gurus confirm what we all see with our own eyes: Brendel sucks a** across the board.
I don't trust their rating system at all. Seen too many good games graded poorly or bad games graded better than they should've.
Thank god people finally are saying it!!!

I haven't trusted PFF since 2019 when they had Fred Warner graded as a backup special teams player despite everyone that watches the games recognizing he was already one of the best young LBs in the NFL.

Can we bench this kid yet? He won't get hurt out there cause he isn't blocking anyone

This goes beyond Brendel. Kyles system means Center has to call out protections.
This is why I dont see them drafting a Center high. Kyle simply doesnt trust rookie centers, at least I think so
If Brendel is gone, they will go with a vet center. I would be very surprised if its someone else

I'm not defending Brendel. I was only noting how bad he was in PP. The run blocking grade is based on the full season. He grades out "average" by that matrix. The past game he was bad on both scores. The PP, OTOH, has been bad all year.

Time after time our center missed a block, got pushed away or into the ball carrier. He cost the niners numerous big plays in the packer game. I agree with Johnny, this guy should never start a single game again. I recommend everyone find this video o. YouTube and watch today. The games are terrible anyways today
It is absolutely unreal how much this guy is killing the offense all by himself
Thanks for the response. To many thoughtful responses get passed over by everyone. I'm glad people take time to read up on a topic and not just respond to the previous post in the thread

C in FA
RT in draft
Short term vet fill in at LG in FA
That's what I'd be looking at, but we'll probably still have Brendel.

Its not an isolated thing either, all season long.

Lynch never really addressing the Center position has been a downfall.

They addressed it with Richburg. He was solid and a big part of their success in 2019. Then he got injured and Chris Jones wrecked them in the SB. Then they brought in Alex Mack who was decent but retired shortly after and then it feels like they kind of just stopped trying or Brendel not being completely ass last season deluded them into thinking they were better off than they actually are.

If my center doesn't look at my QB like that then I don't want him.

Brendel and Banks are terrible. Mckivitz is serviceable

If a new line consisted of tw- an upgraded lg- a real center- puni- we could absolutely survive mckivitz. But imo he still needs to get benched.
