When was the last time we put capital at center? Thought that was a crucial position for Shannahans run game yet we haven't done anything outside of Alex Mack

I don't know to what extent you are considering "capital", but I have to say I find Hennessy of great interest. 2 year contract.
By the way, don't forget Weston Richburg.

Some were wanting Dalman signed, but he's not that much better than Brendel and would have cost 10M per year more to sign. I don't think Shanahan is going to draft a guy and start them day 1. My expectation is that they'll address the center with a UDFA/Practice Squad guy they can develop into competition for next year. They'll give Brendel an opportunity to prove he's still a step above Hennessy.

Well, he didn't flop, the injuries got him. And he retired 2021 which is not that long ago. He was on a $47.5m 5 year contract signed 2018 which is capital. Damn shame about the injuries.

Wasn't necessarily saying he flopped in play but the signing. Idk he might have cashed out cause after he got payed he was immediately injured then retired

Dude! He signed a 5 year $47.5m contract in March 2018. He suffered a torn patella tendon in week 14 of 2019. In March 2021 he underwent hip surgery. In June 2021 he retired. So no, it wasn't as you described it.

at least hes putting in the work.
Looks shaky, just like his blocking
That's a hard exercise but yeah he's shaky lol. Dude looks more like a big TE while Hennessy actually looks like a legit center.I hope they draft a solid Center/Guard (no later than 5th rd) to compete with those two or bring someone else in. I'm rooting for the best guy to come out of camp and hopefully that would mean we also have a good back up waiting on the bench.

Yeah I barely remember him playing I was excited about the signing. 5 year contract is wild considering it seems I only remember him playing a year then he got injured. I expected more from him idk if that's what he did but yeah seemed like he just came and went. Looking it up he played 2 yrs with us before retiring. 2018 being one of them which I barely watched and wiped from my mind for obvious reasons
