Mason is the next late round pick/UDFA major contributor in the Shanahan legacy. I'd say he's got an inside track to making the 53. He's definitely in the conversation with Sermon, Wilson Jr., and Hasty. Good combo of running and receiving ability.

Honestly the only thing that will get me hyped about a rookie in training camp isn't the stats or the highlights but it's the fact that he's practicing with the ones.

Running backs as a whole had a great first session to start. Lance 2/2 to start. Connection with Aiyuk on a timing route which he checked at the line and Jennings over the middle.

It's the Bosa effect. He just ruins practices for the offense.

Bosa, Armstead, but more than that the reason the offense seems to do better is just that the O-Line has more reps.

Ka'dar Hollman is not slow — 4.38 40 coming out of Toledo — and Danny Gray just got serious separation on him to catch a 1-on-1 go ball. Gives you an idea of the 49ers rookie's speed. It's shown up multiple times here at camp. Gray really glides
