Don't think he's going to be 4th on the depth chart for long

Not sure who he passes though. Bosa is obviously #1 and Ebukam, Omenihu, and Jackson have all looked good at times this TC.

I think it goes Bosa/Ekubam then Jackson//Turray. Omenihu I think does more work inside.

Ebukam is a dark horse trade/cut candidate bc of his salary

I don't see them trading or cutting Ebukam, he's the starter opposite Bosa IMO this season, they don't need the money for anything right now, Garoppolo clears a ton, so they won't, IMO anyway, cut or trade Ebukam.

I think Hyder is more likely to be cut.

If we get 2020 Hyder, he may be in contention to be a top 4 DE on this team. Perhaps 2020 was a flash in the pan for him. SEA didn't use him correctly in 2021.
Out of all the edge players, is Willis the odd man out even with ST heroics ?

He's my pre-preseason prediction as odd man out.

What about Willis over Omenihu?

And it's not because he sucks. There's simply a lot of talent in front of him. DE could be a position group that doesn't get finalized until the final minute of roster cut downs and they may consider keeping a surplus while being short in some other position group.
If a player can show flexibility by also serving as a DT, that obviously helps their cause in making the 53.

What if they help out on special teams

I hope he makes it

Exactly, not because he sucks, cause Willis is a good player, but there's so much talent ahead of him, I can't see him making it unless an injury happens.

Can't see Omenihu cut, he's been one of the standouts all offseason.

I can see Lynch trying to trade one of our guys on the Dline instead of cutting them and risking them getting picked up by a division rival. Jordan Willis is my prediction. He's done enough in the league that could have teams interested. Something like Willis and a 6th RD pick for a 5th or 4th RD pick. I could see something similar with our Linebackers also. We did it last year with Griffith.

I believe he has to be. If Hyder makes the squad

It's all rotational stuff for the DEs. Omenihu IMO will be used a lot like Key was last yr. I see more interior pass rushes in his future.

Yeah I agree on Omenihu playing the Arden Key role this year.

My prediction when it comes to number of snaps at DE:
Bosa
Ebukam
Hyder
Turay
Drake
Omenihu

That looks good on paper and if this results in a fresh Bosa in the 4th quarter, hell yeah.

That's a nice rotation at DE.

Hyder, Willis AND Jackson are working inside too.

I wonder if we'll see Bosa and AA rushing from the Insides, with Jackson and Hyder rushing from the edge In specific situations? That could be a fierce pass rush.

Yeah would be sick. With this 17 game regular season bs I was hoping we would see significantly expanded rosters.

Womack will be taking that nickel spot from Denard sooner than later.

If this draft class produced a starting RG, Nickel and key rotation player in Drake, that's a W

Without a 1st round pick, yuuuuuge!

Agree 💯%, they all do look good on *paper,* and if they can draft like this consistently year in and year out - they can maintain a wide open super bowl window. Super bowl winners, in my opinion, lose that first round pick by basically drafting 32nd in the first round. 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆

My prediction is that f***** John Schneider will be at all the preseason games so Seattle can add our cuts to their roster.
