I was going to ask the same. Were we without both our starting tackles today?

I only care about how our 3 guys in the middle did. Banks, Brendel, and Burford. We know who Trent is and we expect MM to be in there week 1.

Bad Oline play, drops, And Trey still went 11-17(not counting the spike). That's a good sign.

Did we find a guy in Gray? Starting to feel like he's gonna be a dude.

Kyle can coach.

Damn Gray had him beat by 3-4 yards. Trey underthrew it and it still didn't matter. Gonna be a fun combo to watch!

The ball was in the air 50 yards when Gray caught it. The ball was slightly under thrown, but Gray beat Patrick Peterson so badly that it didn't matter. No shade, but you NEVER saw that from Jimmy G.

Maybe he underthrew it a bit on purpose, since Gray had him beat so badly. I wouldn't mind those types of decisions from him at all. Not to argue that Jimmy was a good deep ball passer because he wasn't, but in his defense we haven't had a guy like Gray since Goodwin. Letting that go, it's going to be awesome to have the feeling that regardless of down and distance, we have a shot at big chunk plays when Gray is in the game. Hell even if he doesn't get the ball, the amount of space he'll create underneath for Kittle and Deebo will be huge.

Queue a tv broadcaster talking about how dangerous of a pass that is.

It used to be, but not anymore with these hulking QBs with cannons for arms.

You never saw Jimmy G underthrow a receiver? What??
That former scout Daniel Kelly was actually on the niners post practice presser message board talking trash about Trey and even resorted to name-calling. I seriously think there is something mentally wrong with that clown. And his hatred for Trey seems personal. Or maybe Trey progressing so well has made him look like the moron he is and he is now lashing out. It's going to get worse for him if that's the case.
Trey throwing a lot of deep passes in the pre season is going to have DCs game plan for our offense all wrong. What'll end up happening is that we haven't even really shown our running game yet and once we do it becomes pick your poison: Load the box and have Trey find the mismatch outside; spread the DBs back and get pushed around for wide open running lanes for our backs.

I just hope the O-Line can provide enough protection for the former.
Throwing these nice deep seam routes will be fine as long as the pass protection holds up. I have my doubts. Kinda wish there was more video of him throwing the underneath stuff, lol.
