I like TDP. I think he meant going forward, we probably shouldn't use anymore 3rd round picks and stick to our late round and UDFA gems. At least that's how I took it.

Get Bates from Bengals. we can never have enough 2ndary players. Verrett should hopefully be available as late season injury replacement for a few games and hopefully playoffs. Hate our two starting CBs are injured.

Get Bates with what? Still don't have a 1st and highly doubt this team is trading a 2nd let alone pay good money to a safety when they don't have the space. Pipe dream and not really necessary

In 5 more days we officially get to start talking about week 1. Training camp will officially be over, Yes the final cuts won't be named until 4 or 5 days later but when this Friday comes along they will have a pretty good idea of who they are cutting. Also If I remember, all the cuts don't happen on the same day. I think we are going to see many cuts happen before the final cut down day.
