Rough day for Trey Lance, who completed just half of his attempts, including one that was thrown directly to Jimmie Ward. Best throw was last — a nice sideline throw to Aiyuk over the underneath coverage.

This will be one of the toughest defenses Lance and the offense will face. Iron sharpens iron, our d will win some games for us this year and I think it'll be very close to the 19' version

Sounds like day 2 of a TC and the second TC of Lance's career as the starter vs an elite D. Gonna have good and bad.
Very entertaining 49ers practice. The QBs and DBs got after it. Trey Lance started shaky, then caught fire, then threw an ugly INT to Jimmie Ward. Lance also showed off his speed. A lot of deep throws from all the 49ers QBs, including Brock Purdy who hit a TD to Danny Gray

I think this might be the best secondary we have had in a long time. Not trying to make excuses for him though. It sounds like he didn't have the best day, at the very least it was an up and down day.
