Trey Lance finished 9-of-16 today with that 1 bad INT to Fred Warner. He made a few very nice throws downfield, too — one to Kittle was on the money and so was the strike to Aiyuk, where his powerful arm talent was on full display.

Still, the 49ers' secondary looks excellent

Charvarius Ward continues his standout camp with an interception of a deep Nate Sudfeld pass for Ray-Ray McCloud. That play drew a hand slap from #49ers GM John Lynch.

Can the Defense make another jump in Demeco´s second season? It´s really possible.
Entirely, possible.

Trey Lance just completed 8 of 15 passes with two drops and one interception by Fred Warner that was Jimmy G esque. The rest of Lance's practice was excellent. He hit three long passes to Brandon Aiyuk and one long pass to George Kittle.

Okay I'll give Cohn some credit he had no problem pointing out bad play from Lance yesterday and saying it was much better today.

Yeah it's part of the reason I could careless about completion % in practice. You're not checking it down all game. It's about trying to get better and trying to make those tight window throws.

I had Trey Lance 8-for-14 but that doesn't tell the story. Some PBUs that weren't on him. Some drops. He starts to heat up the longer practice goes on.

Biggest takeaway is how he pushes the ball down the field. 4 of those completions were explosive plays.

Right. If Lance wanted to he could easily put up 75%+ completion numbers with no picks in these practices by just checking it down constantly or going for safe throws. It'd look good on paper and a lot of fans would see those stats and think he was doing really well. I hope that he continues to try to push things and find the limits of what he can get away with.

For those of you who have been curious about the #49ers running backs, here's a look at them catching balls from the QBs.
