A tale of two training camps for the 49ers' secondary...
— David Lombardi (@LombardiHimself) July 30, 2022
2021: 11 INTs in 15 practices
2022: 10 INTs in 4 practices
Before the Trey Lance arguments hit full throttle today:

He's clearly at the low-floor, high-ceiling stage of his career. He's doing some very impressive stuff and some very bad stuff at practice.
You can find anecdotes of both to support your side. 49ers' job: raise the floor
It was a rough day for Nate Sudfeld to say the least.

Threw multiple interceptions and had a couple more balls that he forced into spots they shouldn't have gone

Mike McGlinchey participated in his first 11 on 11 portion of training camp so far
— Jordan Elliott (@JLeeElliott) July 30, 2022
Nick Bosa blew by McGlinchey on his first couple of reps, but McGlinchey rebounded in a big way a few plays later when he drove Bosa into the ground as Bosa was bending around the edge

Right. If Lance wanted to he could easily put up 75%+ completion numbers with no picks in these practices by just checking it down constantly or going for safe throws. It'd look good on paper and a lot of fans would see those stats and think he was doing really well. I hope that he continues to try to push things and find the limits of what he can get away with.
Charvarius Ward logged another interception during today's practice
— Jordan Elliott (@JLeeElliott) July 30, 2022
It looked like Ray-Ray McCloud had a step on Ward deep downfield, but Ward recovered & really showcased how special his closing speed is
Ward has been the most consistent player on the field through 4 practices

Yeah it's part of the reason I could careless about completion % in practice. You're not checking it down all game. It's about trying to get better and trying to make those tight window throws.

8 of the 11 last year came from the former QB, so it's even more impressive.
QB log and notes are updated (and I've added INT rate tracker) following Saturday's 49ers practice:

49ers notes today..

-Tarvarius Moore's 2 INTs both impressive. His reemergence. Remember SF runs 3-safety sets
-Aiyuk is very talented. He and Lance have real rapport
-Charvarius Ward — sticky!
-Fred Warner is a star. Ripped one away from Kittle
-Danny Gray nice catch late

He'll definitely have a better completion percentage in games. This is just working on tight windows and explosion plays throwing it downfield.
