Identified the hole open up right out of his hitch step in his drop and made a great business decision to tuck it and run in for a TD

and folks compared him to Pettis last season

It was a worth comparing going into last season
Both showed a lot during their rookie years then came into year 2 not having prepared sufficiently for the NFL. Aiyuk has been showing us what he can really do since about halfway through last season which is where that comparison should die.

At no point should he have ever been compared to Pettis. Period.

Also, let's not forget, Aiyuk was dealing with a hamstring issue early last season.

The center position is an issue imo. Also like Trent said this is all scripted, defenses knows the plays and Kyle's not dialing up anything.

The #49ers interior offensive line needs to get on the same page with each other.

Run game didn't work at all rushing to the inside.

49ers IOL continuity will be a continued point of emphasis for me

Two first time starters at guard with centers splitting reps is noticeably having an impact on the IOL

I believe they have the pieces to be successful — they're still trying to determine the optimal IOL combo

3 catches, physical running, and quick movement off the jump.

Good after the catch as well.
