Offensive line is a huge issue. NC is always right.

Years of neglecting it is finally gonna come back to bite them in the ass. At this point lance wont even get his chance to showcase his skills to learn. He'll spend his 2nd year running away and taking sacks. Hopefully it wont damage his psyche

Not sure I'd say they've neglected it, but they sure could have done more to Improve a weakness, like replacing the ones that didn't turn out. ( Skinny Mike ). And finding a center ( something they've neglected since the beginning ) instead of being dependent on a bunch of unknowns. Not really good when all those question marks are being asked to protect the franchise QB.

I'm glad the team has that mentality. Imo, the team is still a year away from being true SB contenders.
I disagree. If Trey can be a good game manager, we can go all the way.

True. Paraphrasing Bosa, "if Trey can avoid the big mistakes (unlike the previous QB), this team will be successful."

If we don't get the center position figured out and if Trey struggles because of terrible interior pass protection, we aren't going anywhere. We are stacked everywhere else but that one position seems like it may make or break this season.

This is what I was saying in the Brandon Aiyuk thread. C. Ward is only going to help Aiyuk get better. I bet it is helping Jennings out as well. Perhaps even Deebo.

This comment reminds me of an Eric Davis quote from back in the '90s. The 49ers were prepping for a big game against Dallas when Michael Irvin was tearing it up. An interviewer asked Davis if he was concerned about going up against Irvin. Davis said, "Not at all. I have to go against Jerry Rice every day."

This team is so staked and nasty!! It's 100 percent a super bowl or bust this year. Just pray we stay healthy.

This is the best team to start a season since 2013
We need need luck and health.

PFF Is considered a joke for a reason, especially when grading O-Linemen. With all due respect, I prefer to rely on my own eyes over a bunch of desk jockeys.

You say with your eyes, but then say Google sack numbers. Which one is it? Pff watches with their eyes and their sack numbers don't always match the official sack numbers.

At this time, Oline is definitely the weakest link on paper - BUT also the most unknown. I really think our rookie RG and 2nd year guard out of ND (I'm drawing blanks on names) are going to surprise. Couple that with Williams and McG (apparently having an excellent camp so far)… so if we have a competent center, no reason why we aren't a top 11-15 o line.

i know that isn't great but right now on paper they seem to be a top 21-25

I haven't mentioned "Google" sack numbers. What are you referring too? My point was that Mike Isn't a good player. He has major Issues In PP and I'm not sure his run blocking skill are up to par either now. He's regressed big time since his rookie year and has showed no signs of Improvement. Maybe 2022 will be better for him overall, but I'm not banking on It.

Raul, delete this. We have a top 10 pick in McG who was out last year we went to the NFCCG last year.. now he's back.

We have Banks, a 2nd rnd investment from Notre Dame.. home of none other than Montana himself...

We have Brunskill the one OL who Aaron Donald is afraid of

I can't think of any garbage linemen on our team.. these guys can play.

I truly want to believe they get it together during the season some how but dont have much faith in it. Im afraid Lance is gonna be running for his life most of the season.
