I mean they played Sermon last season and obviously they didn't like what they seen of him and kept Mason over him on the 53, then now Mitchell is hurt, you better play Mason this week isn't even too early to share the load with Wilson if they think TDP isn't ready. They need all the running game they can get. Let see if Mason lives up to his HYPE.

Got Wilson but debating on either TDP or Mason. I think Kyle is going to get either one in and I'm leaning Mason based on what I saw out of him in preseason.

I'm thinking the same thing. Hard for me to believe Wilson will be the lead back for long and Mason fits Kyle's previous MO for replacing the top back.

Shanahan was asked about the rookie RB's getting more opportunities. Kyle said they need to get better at the things they need to do when they don't have the ball in their hands. Its no surprise to me. Its why I thought they should have kept Hasty. Wilson has a history of injuries and he didn't play well against the bears. I hope these kids get better at pass pro and running routes quickly or we may be in trouble.
