I'm not sure he threw a tantrum. He was just being REAL.

Oh whatever. Didn't throw a tantrum..f the media haha. I mean, it had to have been frustrating cause he played such a good game..then ppl peed their pants over a few words he said. I like it when ppl call out the dang media. Lotsa bullcrap out there.

He took his opportunity and shined big time. Could have had more TDs if not for the holding calls.

What a game by Jordan Mason and the funny thing is that it's not even a surprise. He has always been really good every time they gave him playing time. He was an undrafted free agent in the 2022 draft, what a steal.

definitely not a suprise if you've been watching him the last couple of years, like a young Alfred Morris.

🙄
Mason had every right to be mad and upset.

Yup a steal is the word. How often do you get a Marshawn Lynch talent in the Undrafted section of the NFL draft? It's almost as rare as getting a pro bowl QB in the seventh round!
Mason is a battering ram. I don't think Kyle's ever had that at the RB positon. He can now bludgeon teams into submission instead of just tricking them. Reminds me of the Roger Craig/Tom Rathman days.

I had to go to bed right after the game ended. What happened that caused Mason to be upset?
Nevermind. I found it in the gameday thread.
I miss the old NFL - when it was still a sport (legally) and teams exercised "gamesmanship."

Jordan Mason said after the game he knew he was going to start by Friday, even though we didn't hear the CMC news until a few hours before kickoff. Shanahan didn't like it

And a bit nervous. His play speaks for him. There was a period when Marshawn wouldn't speak to the media.

When he said Friday I said ooooo.. oops. I cannot imagine Kyle being that mad at him tbh. He is not used to the media and is just focused on football. Also, he can simply go revisionist route and say coach told me there's a good chance Friday night so keep that in mind etc.

That was some performance from Mason last night.
It's gonna be fun watching the 9ers pound the opposition Into the ground this season, with a combination of CMC and Mason.
