He kept bumping into his own guy several times. It slowed him down a bit. If he can avoid that, he would be even better. 28 tough carries, after the game he looked like he just strolled around the block.

Yes, but the blown coverage was the result of the concern they had for Mason.

damn, Mason's been so good, he's buried on page 2. I wouldn't have thought this was so rare.

49ers running back Jordan Mason has rushed for at least 100 yards and a touchdown in each of the first two games of the regular season. He can become the seventh in league history to make it three-for-three. JK Dobbins is in the same boat.

He just looks tremendous. A pounder straight up the middle. Thunder to CMC's Lightning. I like him a lot. Always liked him in the preseason and closing out games. But didn't know he was this good. Until he got his shot to play.

I move that we rename the thread to Jordan "Perry" Mason, RB, Ga Tech, UDFA.

Little concerned about the RB room with CMC injured and uncertain over the next however many games. Mason has been doing great as RB1 but he's getting a lot of usage early in the season. Would be a concern for any RB, and add in Mason not being used to such a workload. Then you have the unproven rookie at RB2 in Guerendo.

Wish E. Mitchell was coming back this season.

Extend him now while he's affordable.
