i am old school... i think you earn your spot.... so far.. no matter his draft status.. he has earned nothing and is not deserving of a spot.

100% agree.

i hope no says... ok cc.. so how do you justify a spot for wilson on the roster since he has done nothing this pre season .. i guess i would say, well unlike sermon.. wilson has a very good resume with us. oh,, something happened to me over night mayo.. cuz i went from wanting the team to keep hasty yesterday to... its ok to dump him as long as we keep our two rookies

I see you finally came around on Hasty. That's been my take on him also. Great minds think a like.
They seem to love Hasty as the 3rd down passing rb. He might make the team off that extra skill set

Not when you have other options now and more competition for rbs on the 53. It's like this, every time I see Hasty on the field in previous seasons, I know for sure he will not be productive and all other viable options at RB (or WR, wideback) are exhausted or unavailable, but they have Deebo and Ray Ray now to replace Hasty if needed at any time as a receiver out of the backfield, really pointless to keep Hasty. I personally don't see a need or a role for Hasty going forward and would be a waste or 53 spot.

I don't see a role or need for Hasty. Kyle can just use Deebo and Ray Ray as a receiver out of the backfield, they would probably block better too if needed lol..

Hasty is definitely not a useful runner (and the shortest guy on the team at 5'8") compare to any of the other backs, check his stats, as a receiver out of the backfield, I would go with Deebo or Ray Ray or Mitchell or Wilson if they are not injured.

Not really. Every time he has been on the field the past 2 seasons he hasn't done or help much aka he's not even worth a backup role and he has had plenty of opportunities because the 9ers has always had tons of injuries to their starting RBs the last 2 seasons. Time to cut and move on for other (younger) RBs to get opportunities now that they actually have other options that might pay off in the short and long term.

IE, would you rather keep Mason or Hasty on the 53 if it comes down to it? If Kyle thinks Sermon is a lost cause then it will be down to Sermon or Hasty who needs to go..

Sermon is the only RB that should be nervous right now

Yep. He was drafted as a power back with speed who made good reads and cuts. So far, he hasn't shown any of that. Mason and TDP look better.

Hasty is the change-of-pace guy they need, plus he has more pop than one would think just looking at his size.

Unless Sermon shows very well against Houston, he is not on the 53.

Aka Kyle sees Sermon as a complete lost cause being drafted in the 3rd round and only on his 2nd year with the team and pretty much injured after a few games last season as a rookie.. we'll see in 8 days~ regardless 9ers definitely have options to choose at RBs to keep around behind Mitchell and Wilson as backups this season, I personally don't want to see Hasty back because he is unproductive and I see no role or need for him on the 53 going forward with the other available options out of the backfield now and going forward.

I have zero faith in Sermon

It's pre-season and he's already hurt.

Move on from him - Mason seems to be all that Sermon was supposed to be.

Agree 💯%.
Prediction:

5 rb if count the fullback Juice. The other 4: Wilson, Mitchell, Hasty and Davis Price.

Sermon gets waived, but gets picked up by another team.

49ers will want to put Mason on the practice squad, but he will get gobbled quickly by someone else.
