5 rb if count the fullback Juice. The other 4: Wilson, Mitchell, Hasty and Davis Price.

Sermon gets waived, but gets picked up by another team.

49ers will want to put Mason on the practice squad, but he will get gobbled quickly by someone else.

After giving it some more thought, I think both Mason and Hasty might be a good replacement for Wilson. Both Mason and Hasty have been very productive so far in the pre season. Mitchell and TDP are a lock. Sermon hasn't been productive with or without the injury and I think they will cut there losses with him. Mason is a hard nose, down hill runner like Wilson. Hasty is a recieving and blitz pickup option just like Wilson. Wilson has had durability issues throughout his career and his performance was down last year even when he was on the field. Him and Sermon were the reasons Deebo took up that RB2 role. If we are going by RB by committee approach than the following would make a lot of sense.

Mitchell
TDP
Hasty
Mason

Yeah, but Mitchell is not 100% right now. Mason should get starting reps along with Mitchell, IMO.

Mason is running against future sales reps. Mitchell just ran for the most rushing yards in 49er history.

I would agree to this except that Wilson is really good at some routes such as the wheel route.

who on that list has decent hands besides hasty. Rb's running routes are the difference in the game many times. Example patriots 2000-2022

*sure handed rbs. James white and all those patriot rbs always had great hands

I agree with everyone about Sermon....he kinda sucks. But my gut tells me that Shanny keeps him for one more year out of belief (and where he was drafted).

i am old school... i think you earn your spot.... so far.. no matter his draft status.. he has earned nothing and is not deserving of a spot.

100% agree.

i hope no says... ok cc.. so how do you justify a spot for wilson on the roster since he has done nothing this pre season .. i guess i would say, well unlike sermon.. wilson has a very good resume with us. oh,, something happened to me over night mayo.. cuz i went from wanting the team to keep hasty yesterday to... its ok to dump him as long as we keep our two rookies

I see you finally came around on Hasty. That's been my take on him also. Great minds think a like.

CC has a split personality, which mind were you thinking of?
lotta people inside of his head for sure

I have a tinfoil hat conspiracy that the real cc retired from the zone and his account was adopted by his daughter.

What say you?

if true,, my youngest daughter would be whining about the o line more than i do.. the older daughter would be banned in two minutes because she is violent when it comes to discussing the niners.,. i raised them well. i have just decided that my two pet peeves have been more than addressed by cc this year in the horrid o line and lynch and his bungling of jimmy.... despite my fears of this o line derailing the entire season.. i think the good outweigh the bad overall with our team on the eve of the season. now if jimmy and trey sermon and donte johnson stay.. i will have a meltdown that makes the old cc meltdowns seem like a restrained tea time luncheon
Anyone live in SoCal and know if a good service I can use to watch the games? I paid for nfl direct, YouTube tv but they keep showing games idgaf about. I just wanna watch the niner games. f**k everyone else

Will be a Seahawk in 2 weeks…

Nah. That's most likely to be Hasty or Sermon.

i think posters just worry a bit to much about our players going to seattle. but thats just me

Agreed. For one, division foes know you best so they are always looking at your talent. But the going to Seattle thing is overstated.

i sure hope kyle and lynch agree with this. he has done nothing to earn it. screw his draft status.. it is pathetic he is getting out played by a undrafted kid

funny how people want jimmy gone cuz they think he is no good but are scared of him going to seattle like suddenly he will turn into a elite qb. i hope he does go to seattle. i will be there to see the game and i hope we abuse him badly

Are people really afraid of him being on Seattle or just afraid of handing him over early to Seattle ?

Agree 💯%, with all the CC's I know!

I am so *NOT* impressed with Trey Sermon, and I really really really wanted him to do well this preseason. Love his pass receiving skills. I agree with a lot of folks who say he's heading to Injured Reserve squad due to that ankle injury - rather than being cut. We shall see.

maybe a few of both?
Keep Mason. We always find a really good RB either undrafted or from the late round. I think he's another one of those.
He's going to be our #1 rusher by the end of the season.
