The Bears aren't as bad as the media is telling you, and we aren't as good. I think Chicago surprises us and Lance struggles.

I never said the Bears are bad... I have however repeatedly said that Shanny ain't a real HC... but I still think we win here..

I will admit that this game makes me nervous despite the big gap in talent. Like I said before, Week 1 games in the NFL are so hard to predict, No matter what the spread is. Remember the Jags winning 1 game two years ago? That win was week 1.

Agree, its going to be more difficult than most 49er fans think. The 49er offense is going to misfire a lot because of the above fact.

I think the Niners will win, but being favored by six points might be too much. I'm not that confident in the offense right now. Though I have a feeling this game will be eerily similar to last year where they faced the Bears and Jimmy played like ass for the first half. Then the momentum changed after Deebo took a bubble screen pass for 70 yards. Lance might do the same and play better in the 2nd half after settling in. I somewhat expect it to start out bad, because I don't think Kyle ever has his team fully prepared and firing on all cylinders out of the gate. Maybe its the soft training camp or the lack of preseason snaps, but I've kinda come to expect it now.

The excruciating part will probably be when the announcers whine about why Jimmy isn't the starting quarterback every time Lance throws an incompletion or looks shaky. And the cameraman panning to Jimmy on the sideline if Lance throws a pick. I'm preparing myself mentally to listen and watch this crap every week, but this may be the first time I'll have to mute my television during the games

With a new starting QB I do not think this will be an easy game. We will have to work to beat the Bears.

If our chemistry is good, we will all enjoy some Bear Jerky.

Can really only hope to contain Dante Pettis.

I mean, we were losing to the bears last season until the 3rd qtr with Jimmy right? No team in the NFL is a for sure win.
