Is this a sign of things to come? The older trusty QB helps mold the new hottness?!

After hearing the news today, we have to entertain, though unlikely and surely that Jimmy G will be traded, that we might, in fact, have an Any Given Sunday moment on our hands, right? I mean is Shanny going to give a halftime speech that sounds like this...

"I don't know what to say, really. Three minutes till the biggest battle of our professional lives all comes down to today. Now either we heal as a team or we're gonna crumble, inch by inch, play by play, 'til we're finished.

We're in hell right now, gentlemen, believe me. And, we can stay here -- get the s**t kicked out of us -- or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell one inch at a time.

Now, I can't do it for you. I'm too old. I look around. I see these young faces, and I think -- I mean -- I made every wrong choice a middle-aged man can make. I, uh, I pissed away A SUPERBOWL, believe it or not. I chased off anyone who's ever loved me. And lately, I can't even stand the face I see in the mirror.

You know, when you get old in life things get taken from you. I mean that's...part of life. But, you only learn that when you start losing stuff. You find out life's this game of inches. So is football. Because in either game, life or football, the margin for error is so small -- I mean one-half a step too late, or too early, and you don't quite make it. One-half second too slow, too fast, you don't quite catch it."

LOOK AT THE COLORS ON THE WALL!

"The inches we need are everywhere around us.

They're in every break of the game, every minute, every second.

On this team, we fight for that inch. On this team, we tear ourselves and everyone else around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch, because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f**kin' difference between winning and losing! Between livin' and dyin'!

I'll tell you this: In any fight, it's the guy who's willing to die who's gonna win that inch. And I know if I'm gonna have any life anymore, it's because I'm still willin' to fight and die for that inch. Because that's what livin' is! The six inches in front of your face!!

Now I can't make you do it. You got to look at the guy next to you. Look into his eyes! Now I think you're gonna see a guy who will go that inch with you. You're gonna see a guy who will sacrifice himself for this team because he knows, when it comes down to it, you're gonna do the same for him!

That's a team, gentleman!

And, either we heal, now, as a team, or we will die as individuals.

That's football guys.

That's all it is.

Now, what are you gonna do?"

What are we going to do? We are now for certain going to win the Super Bowl because this s**t can't get any weirder. I like it. I love it. I want more of it. More to come.

A sign of things to come? Image from USAToday.

All stories have a beginning, a middle, and some sort of end. Our story begins with a loss. A loss that was entirely on the Niners. 12 (for 99yds) penalties, Deebo fumble, the RAIN, my god, the RAIN, Mitchell goes down, no Kittle today, and o-line having issues. No, I did not include the Lance INT because that, while something he will learn from, is not the reason we lost today. I had really no problem with Lance's play today. Sure, Lance could have done better, but he showed some things and he was gritty. And he owned his mistakes. He will improve.

You need to tell your boy to calm the f**k down.

As we all now know, Trey Lance went down to a terrible and gruesome ankle injury. And now it would seem that our past is our future. Jimmy G came and performed well and the team rallied around him. I am happy we won; I am happy for Jimmy G, though he has never finished the deal for us, and hope this leads to a brighter future for him. But I am gutted for Trey Lance.

Week 3

Wow. When you thought the ugly play from Week 1 had left the building, Week 3 says "hold my nachos". Niners playing against a tough d could do little, Jimmy G did Jimmy G things...a lot...and well, here we are. T Williams out. Al-Shaair out. Fumbles and miscues everywhere it felt like. And then there was R. Wilson doing the s**t he has done for, well, ever.

Yesterday, I watched my beloved Razorbacks do Jimmy G like things against A&M and they f**king lost a game they should have won by two scores. And now we have to watch the Niners do those same things against an old foe. One team leaves tonight's game heading in the right direction and it ain't your 49ers. Kyle better figure some s**t out quick or the Niners have a real chance of being 1-3 by the first week of October.

Next up: The f**king Rams. Jesus.

So was Deebo's incredible season the main reason for the post season last time and this year a slow burn.......or has the league caught up?

6-11

How in the hell is Troy Polamalu still playing football?

Now that is more f**king like it. Team showed up. Defense has been with us all year. BUT MY GOODNESS! We win one! And man, we needed it. I feel good. Not great, but I feel really good about the defense. Now, we got to get that O going. But for now, f**k the Lambs.

Current record: 2-2

49ers D tonight be like

Not the sight we want to see, but better now than later.

Defense again showed up and so did T. Coleman! Holy balls, I think we all, I mean at least the nay sayers, thought he was dead! Done. No longer had juice. Was better suited for camping, but nope, we were wrong! Good Jimmy was largely in the building, Deebo smelled his finger, and uh, I really do not know where to go from there. GO NINERS!

Current record: 3-2

Up Next: Those Dirty Birds.
They looked at each other.

Uhm, you gotta tackle the swift QB out of Oregon. At least, I think you do. Credit to USA Today.

Look, man, lady, human being, and dolphins(?). You can't win when you have so many injuries at key positions, and add a few more for good measure while playing the game. You also can't win when the back ups do their best, but your goddamn offense can't catch the ball or hold on to it. Not sure what fixes this, I really am not. Stickum?

Meanwhile, there are rumors out there about the 49ers being interested in acquiring CMC from the Panthers; but honestly, would that help the two issues above? Does he play cover corner? Can he rush the passer? Can he block for the QB? No? Well, we need dudes that do those things and stay healthy.

Current record: 3-3
Fro's prediction for the year: 13-4

Up next: The Chiefs.
