Crazy stuff always seems to happen Week 1. The 49ers were on the wrong end of it this time. Hopefully there's a better showing next week.

Shanny's conservative play-calling on offense lost us this game and thats because he's trying to cater to Trey who's learning. Unfortunately, we're gonna have to deal with this the rest of the season. Jimmy had to when he first came to the team. The penalties didn't help either
Defense dominated for TWO quarters. 3rd quarter they extended drives with penalties and gave up a blown coverage TD.
Not saying the offense didn't have their own problems - Deebo's fumble, too conservative of play calling when it became clear it was a death by 1000 paper cuts game. But the defense broke earlier than you state.
My fault your right, but we should have had a big lead before half-time
You can dissect it as much as you want but at the very least it boils down to not making the opportunity to score enough points. That falls on Lance today....period.

He made some nice throws once the rain stopped. Had trouble when it started pouring again. He'll be fine in better conditions.

Yeach. Can't be this many mental lapses next week. They were in complete control of the game and then just suddenly decided to act crazy in every facet.

Disagree. Some of it is on Lance. Much of it wasn't. Deebo doesn't fumble and they get even a FG there it changes how the game plays out. That's not on Lance. OL blocks better in pass pro on some key downs would have changed the game. This idea that the QB is the only player on offense that matters is just poor analysis, based solely on emotion.
Lance needs to do better next week, but he's far from alone in that. That goes for coaches and players of every part of the team.

Hopefully we never play in the rain again. Kyle doesn't believe in preparing his team for wet conditions because he stands on the sidelines with his hoody protecting him from the elements.

You know, there was a moment in the 3rd quarter where the replay showed Bosa with a look of an exasperated grimace and headshake when a 3rd down penalty kept them on the field. I think that's the image I'll be keeping in mind as the snapshot of this game.

This is in no way on Trey Trey does not commit penalties that prolong drives. Trey does not fumble deep in bears territory. Trey is not running routes and not getting open and Trey is not letting bears defenders into the backfield play after play also Trey is not calling b******t plays. This was a complete team meltdown. Poor coaching poor execution and s**tty discipline. They keep making bone head plays and we can expect to see more losses like today. Our defense is only good for the fiirst half then blow coverage and penalties. Not good.

He missed a wide open TE for a TD and threw a pick that led to 6 points. I agree it's not even close to all on him but 10 points is terrible and barely ever happens with a Shanny offense.

It's not all his fault but he wasn't good today. Missed a wide open touchdown by about ten yards, threw a critical INT and gunned a final fourth down pass into the crowd. He wasn't good at all but neither was most of the team. Other than Hufanga and a few others, the whole team and the coaching staff hold responsibility for this loss.

Ok. Justin outplayed Trey. Deebo fumble was huge . The dropped passes didn't help either. The defense crumbled after 3 quarters. Let hope the penalties are addressed and solved. Regrettably I didn't see that relentless threat in Trey. That dog element to his game. Go 9ers
