Lance had a wide open TE and couldn't convert while Fields did when he had the opportunity. I am not saying Fields is better than Lance but Fields had a better game. Fields might even be better overall this year because he has more experience and is a better athlete. Lance played in the same condition as the Bears, with a much better team, with top tier WRs and RBs. Still missed easy passes and threw a terrible interception. I do expect that he improves as the season goes on though. His mechanics and his throwing motion is just… ugly. This should also improve overtime though and hope he learns quickly.
