I'd start him next week. Cannot be any worse or pathetic than Jimmy. 98% of the people in here knew Jimmy was gonna f up and throw a pick. 1 of 9 on 3rd down all night.
With Purdy you could expect a safety, with JG ( a veteran ) inexcusable in that situation.
I bet GM's are thanking their lucky stars they did not bring JG in this year after the reaffirmation and tape.

This is why Jimmy is the backup, plays like a backup, missed wide open Wrs, turnovers galore!
He's a starting caliber QB, but Trey is better. One monsoon game is a stupid thing to judge him by. We win this game with Trey, because we get more first downs due to his legs. He'll miss the same passes. But we will get more firsts with him.
Jimmy was atrocious tonight no debate but claiming Trey is better is an absolutely baseless claim unfortunately we won't know what he is till at least next year he could be as bad or even worse than Jimmy.
No, it isn't. Because Trey isn't just a passer. He's a runner. And he'd have gotten on four or five first downs with his legs, which would have led to at least three more points.
Funny thing is this loss was inevitable the whole game. Offense did nothing for 3.5 qtrs and you knew without a doubt Russ would get them a touchdown at some point. The offense has alot of issues and injuries on top of it.

The defense deserved so much better tonight. They played a great game.
No they don't deserve better. They let Russ take it from them and didn't stay at home in the middle for his scrambles when he's done that his whole career against us. The D Coord, Shanny, even Fred Warner should know better. When they bite so many times you can only call them STUPID. Teams that don't play Russ regularly put a spy on him. What do we do ? Add extra DBs who play bracket D and let them catch it first anyway.
So your saying this is the D fault?? Lmao
If you want to lay primary blame it's on Jimmy G, Trent getting injured, and crappy playcalling. The D if we want to call them great needs to shut down that playground stuff that running QBs, especially Russ, make. The D could have won the game despite the real obvious failures on O.

This is a typical RW game against us. They fumble multiple times and the balls bounce right back to them. We tip passes and there's no one around the ball.
We fumble twice and lose both. They tip a pass and of course there's like 30 Broncos near the ball.
God hates the 49ers.
Can't be all on the defense. Offense needs to score points

We're 1-2
This is an all-star defense being wasted by an inept offense. Doesn't matter who the QB is at this point, Shanahan needs to make changes right now.
Offense looks fine with the scripted plays, but after those plays run out, it's just hard to watch. Absolutely pathetic showing by the offense again. And losing the best player in football only makes it worse.
We'd be 3-0 right now with an average offense. That's my rant for now.
I can't say for sure if Trey didn't get injured we'd be in a different spot but this offense ain't it. It's wasting tremendous efforts from the defense that will eventually fold to Drew Lock if the offense keeps sh1tting the bed.

Trey Lance is a non factor right now, why the f**k are you guys even bringing him up.
Because you people called him a bust for playing better than Jimmy did this game in monsoon conditions.

This team wastes most early round picks anyways. Probably would've taken another Solomon Thomas and Reuben Foster with those picks.
