KS are the initials for our HC Kyle Shanahan and 10 refers to the 10 point lead vs KC in the Super Bowl and the Rams in the NFCCG.. I didn't come up with this.. just answering your question

The question is what happens to Jimmy if you take away the offensive genius masking his deficiencies and put him on a subpar offense. I think those three are closer than you think….

on the flip side, we know what Jimmy's ceiling is. Do we know what Baker Mayfield's is ? Could Kyle get more out of him ? Is he more mobile than Jimmy ? Does he have a stronger arm ? Willing to take more shots downfield? Open up the playbook ?

I'll stick with my original assessment for now. I think all 3 are easy substitutes for each other without a drop in play. But I do think Baker has more potential than Jimmy…

Let's give jimmy the equivalent of OTAs and PS, where he would have gotten two full months with his WRs, and see how he plays 3, 4, maybe 5 games from now. You just can't evaluate a guy right now who spent all his OTA, PS just trying to get his shoulder back in throwing shape but got NO time with his WRs. Let's look at this 5 games from now and hope the D can win a good chunk of the next 4 or 5 games with not much O input.

Last yr that wouldn't have happened…this yr? Yeah, well, there's that D thing…

EXACTLY what I posted 2 weeks ago.. the fact that he wasn't even given a playbook, and how he was told that the team are going w/Lance.. that alone take you out mentally of being ready to play a game...

to make a long story short, if Grappy ain't all that while participating in all of the off season program, then what do you expect from him when he doesn't get those?

I mean, Kyle had all year to come up w/a Plan B if Lance gets injured, and he couldn't.. thank goodness Grappy agreed to stay humble and accept the 6mil..

The playbook has changed? Looks about the same as ever to me. Any slight changes should be easy for a guy that's been in the system since 2017.

Oh go figure. In a game day style chat and more arguing over whether Jimmy is good.

Geeez. How hard is it to understand. Jimmy is our quarterback for this year. By choice or not. Who cares if Baker is better or not etc just get over it. This shouldn't even be a debate at this point. He is who we have.

If your gonna whine about it go back to the Jimmy thread.

Game wise. If we play close to what we played last week on O we're fine. Huf gonna get another turnover. Bosa gonna going on a limb and say 2+ sacks. Gonna also say either Kittle or Aiyuk gets more calls. Loved seeing Juice get more involved last week. This week and next should be fun.

Imagine pretending that you think you're so smart about football, that you believe calling Kyle's offense gimmicky is right 😂 Derp. Half the damn league runs this offense or is trying to find some that can.

Jimmy was the backup for a reason and now we're stuck rolling with him for the ROS. Which compared to what every other team has as a backup isn't bad at all…just run the offense, manage the game, limit TOs and SF will win a bunch of games.

NY i might quibble with "and now we're stuck rolling with him ROS", and restate it as "we are damn lucky we signed Jimmy at the 11th hour, and that he is QBing us" . The rest is fine. I know you were trying to be somewhat complimentary, but this way just looks and sounds a little better.

Comeon now. You're throwing away every JimmyG start in recent memory and using this 3 game average showing as an aberration rather than a trend. We've seen this movie over and over. Jimmy wins if his defense and/or STs comes to play. Very rarely will he take the helm and will the team to memory (? NOrleans game 2019).

will he look better 4 weeks from now ? I don't know. Did he look better last year vs Indy, Houston, Dallas ? He is what he is. We know what his ceiling is. He's no better than Sam Darnold or Baker Mayfield. BUT….BUT…what if Kyle could unlock something in Baker's play. As I said, he's more mobile. Has a stronger arm. Definitely takes more chances and has the ability to open the playbook. What if Kyle could untap the mental aspect of his game ? Does he have a higher ceiling ? I would guess yes.

but at this point, they're all three the one and same. Piss poor game managers except one is playing on a SB caliber roster…

Yes, he will look better than he does now , in 4 games because he will have had the reps with his WRs that his new fixed shoulder never got in OTAs nor in PS.

As far as your putting jimmy in a basket with Darnold and Baker, that to me is an insult. He has way more talent and plenty more good games than either of those two bottom 15 QBs ever will have. As for Kyle unlocking something in Baker's play? Who knows? But we really see Jimmy in a different light. He's a good QB…and anything I've seen of Baker or Darnold doesn't' compare with Jimmy's talents. I also am not saying JG hasn't his faults. Even with those, he is a definite cut above baker/Darnold.

They didn't put him on IR so thats a positive sign. Just mentioned that hes ruled out of this game and expected to miss the Falcons game as well. Hopefully hes much better after that.
McKivitz on IR is no bueno. Probably mean Hance comes up. Meantime Brendel has been playing well, same for 3 Bs. Nobody gave up a sack last week atlho Donald did come in R side unblocked but somehow jimmy got the pass off. The Burford /Banks/ Brun and Jay Moore crew has been interesting to watch, and while nobody is playing out of his skull, as a group , they have been playing alright. The young guys still make a mistake now and then but overall, they are giving a fairly good accounting of themselves.

If we can get Banks/Burford/Brun/Moore all hitting on 6 cylinders this OL could be one of the bigger surprises of the yr…and sometime out there. #71 is due back, Man we miss him.
let jimmy cook
