I wouldn't bet on this game. Too many variables here. Lot's of key players out or hobbled. A mobile QB which always is a problem. Possibly looking ahead to the Chiefs game. I think the Niners win but it's not a sure thing.
Feeling the same way. This is why losing in Chicago and Denver sucks. Now we have to win all these gimme games. If we were 5-0 I wouldn't mind dropping this one by resting some guys.
Who else watched this one back in the day? One of the wildest games ever. (2001 Week 5 @ ATL)

ATL missing Cordarelle Patterson is a pretty big loss. He was having a good season running the ball up until his injury last week - stats wise, no idea how well he actually played.

Fantasy owners will say he was having a great year

That was fun. I miss this old school WCO pass-first offenses.
"So if Verrett can get these practice reps, and get out there, and get fully healed, and get back into game shape, and get ready to go, he'll end up being our guy," head coach Kyle Shanahan said.

That's a lot of "and"s. I think the Moseley injury is significant, and no one on the current roster can fill his role or even be considered a decent CB (various reasons). Might be ok? against Atlanta, but there has to be a real solution for this season. On the flip side, we've had avg CBs in the past and reached the NFCCG twice, so who knows really.

They were 22nd in pass attempts and 14 in pass yards that year vs 2nd in rush attempts and 2nd in rush yards

Norman got benched a few weeks prior to the postseason. Thomas took over late in the season.

Verrett - I'll be surprised if he ends ups returning.
Ebukam - encouraging development. He's been really good as a rotational player.

Don't expect the top 4 to play . Id be very careful with Ebukam and that Achilles on turf

Appreciate that. They were still pass-first to set up the run vs. run-first to set up the pass; philosophy choice. They did have Hearst who was a freaking stud though. I was crushed when he broke his ankle.

Same. Give Hyder and Jackson the initial starts and rotate Turray and Ebukam in.
