Week 5 @ Panthers Coaches Film Analysis

The hardest thing about the film this week was there was a number of plays I wanted to show but it came down to being too hard to pick and choose on some of them. There were a lot of pretty good plays that would've been nice to highlight and hopefully I get to some on twitter this week and I'll post here. But, some of them just didn't have as much of an impact on the game.

In this video I tried to focus on 3rd down conversions as that was a huge story of improvement from the Denver game, the defense playing as a unit and not just stellar players, and why I'm excited about the team going forward.

Nice review once again, the offense does look like it is getting rolling.

Did they just start releasing the All-22 in 60fps?

I wonder, how many times do defenses run an inverted Cover-2? It seems like a coverage concept that happens maybe once or twice throughout the entire NFL every two weeks.

Finally some good unbiased film also the quality looks better for some reason. Also you should get banned 1 day for how you pronounced thanos .

Side note, if the 49ers can keep the balanced attacked and the turnovers to a minimum while adding big play abilities it would be sexiness.

It's not real common because it can leave the middle pretty open but is good against verticals on the outside with crossing routes, like we like to use.

Nice work as always, JD! Nice mix of plays to show some of Jimmy's improvements (avoiding the robber trap) and his struggles (the Aiyuk miss for a TD). I very much enjoyed the breakdown of the long Wilson run.

If Jimmy can keep up this higher level of play and avoid injury like 2019 (as well as our other impact players), we should be a force and legit SB contender.

Also, Jennings really reminded me a little of TO in this game. Was great to see.

This was my favorite video so far.

Jimmy is ballin'. 5 to 1 TD to INT ratio when he's normally a 2 to 1 guy.

Nice video jd. The pass pro held up well in this game and it allowed Jimmy to work the play. I like how he gave his weapons a chance on the two throws down the sideline versus Cover0 (Coleman catch, Aiyuk near catch). Both wern't high percentage throws, but he put it in a spot where only the 49er had a chance at it. I can't decide whether his best throw was to the Aiyuk on Levels concept (not shown, very well placed), or Kittle's catch (@5:10 of your video).

The defensive injuries are going to start making a difference. It'll be interesting if Ryans makes any adjustments when it comes to blitz frequency. ATL may not have to chip block as much with Bosa out, so that will affect the zone coverage behind the pass rush. It would have been nice to force ATL to chip block with their star TE Pitts and not allow him to get into his route at the snap.
