Yeah, 170 rushing yards given up by the defense had nothing to do with it. A fumble deep in our own territory taken in for a TD by someone not Jimmy.
Then lets stop with the Jimmy just wins BS.

That's not why they lost. You can say he didn't play elite. But it's not why they lost. I don't get this hate. I guess someone has to get the blame.
For me it's 100% on Shanahan. And it's not close.

Why are people saying 2 ints like the first one wasn't a hail Mary end of half? He threw one int (that was a pi) that bounces off the wr.

Yeah, JG isn't elite, but he played fairly well today. Recievers dropping balls sure didn't help. Can't put all the blame on the QB today. But with Ward injured and Mosley out.....I'm worried that the Chiefs and Rams are going to long-bomb us a lot and we could be 3-5 at the bye. We needed this game. Very worried about our CB's in the next two games. Dontae Johnson isn't the answer against good QB and receivers .....hoping we can pull out a win in at least one of the next two games to get to 500 for the bye.

yea, I think Kyle didn't perform well today. Honestly, not changing the tempo in 3q when ATL is totally kicking our arse is mind boggling to me.

I wanna see the Mariota rushing touchdown again. It looked like Johnson was supposed to contain on the side Mariota scored on.
My question is, why does this team value Johnson when he makes mental mistakes? Isn't that the only thing he's supposed to bring? Experience? He's always been trash IMO.

Jimmy played ok? Did you even watch the game? Cripes he played very well, had 3 great passes dropped, and one or two could have been for TDs. This was not a game that Jimmy did anything but play well. INTs? One was a Hail Mary as time ran out in 1st half and the other was a tipped ball.
Jimmy played an excellent game. Now as for pointing fingers… how does one say…with 54 % of our starting D out with injury, what exactly do fans expect?. That means that one more than half our starting D didn't play. That is front and center why we lost. Less than half our D was on the field (starters).
Now if someone were to ask was the D at fault? I'd say the D , no….but all those fantastic things said about Demeco? Well, there you might justifiably have a culprit that everyone has been giving kudos to. Demeco is the DC who is going to have his own HC job next yr. He could do no wrong…at least until today, anyway.
Here's a question, Did Demeco NEVER see Marriota play QB? Was he not aware that Marriota was a running QB? And why or how, was the D so completely unprepared for the 4 Marriota runs, one for a TD and the other three for continuing 3rd down conversions that led to 3 more TDs?
What was demeco thinking? Why did he not have his team ready for Marriota to take off when under pressure? Based on Demeco's work in this game…he may get a chance to be our DC next yr also. But he sure as heck did NOT have our D ready for 4 different , key and critical runs that just broke our backs. You want to point fingers at someone….fine. Point them at the guy who did not have our D ready for 4 backbreaking runs by Marriota. Yeah, the same guy that everyone has been lavishing praise upon. Demeco failed us today and it was extremely simple. He didn't have our D ready for Marriota to take off. Worse, once, twice , after he saw it, he still didn't make a change to stop Marriota. Only one way to say this. Meco had a horrid game. F grade.

This loss sucks but we did out play the falcons in most categories today. Including total yards, passing yards, yards per play and 1st downs gained. There are some other bright spots as well. The pass distrubution was superb today. We targeted 8 different receivers. Aiyuk had 8 catches on 11 targets for 83 yards and 2 TD's. Kittle had 8 catches on 10 targets for 83 yards. Deebo had 7 catches on 10 targets for 79 yards. That is pretty damn efficient. If Ray-Ray and Woerner didn't drop those deep passes, we may have won this game inspite of the defense and the early TO in our own territory. Nothing seemed to go our way today but I believe we will bounce back next week.

Which is why people saying Kyle is too predictable makes no sense what so ever.

It funny how everyone needs one person to blame.
"Its 100% on (insert agenda)"
it was a team loss. We lost the turnover battle. We didnt run well. We fell behind early. We couldnt stop the run. Injuries were big. A few missed calls had some effect.
the game is more complex than just blaming a coach or a qb. Thats lazy and uninformed analysis.
