Impressive!
But he's officially a backup this season.

Gipson was getting roasted last game. Team can't wait to get Ward healthy.

The Niners lost last year in weeks 3 and 4 with Jimmy starting. (GB and Seattle) We lost he next week as well but Jimmy didn't play in that one.
Looks like Bosa will be back and maybe Williams. That would be a nice boost both physically and morally. Hufanga still on concussion protocol.

Jimmy got hurt in the Seattle game and didn't finish the game. He's never lost back to back games in games he started and finished

Anyone else find it questionable that Huf went out play one with the concussion.. played the whole game after series 1.. and is now in protocol.. you know, after he played on a concussion..

If he were a QB this would be a bigger deal most likely.

Huh? He's still at an 84.4 grade which is top notch in the league. It was the LB's who got sucked up on PA leaving a big hole between their vacated area in front of the 2 S's.

Ward's never come close to having that kind of grade. His best year is a 73.5 grade and that's if he can even stay healthy for long.

Hufunga has dropped down to 75.6 which is still good but he was the #1 S for quite a while.

No. It's common to not show any symptoms right after and then show up the next morning, which is what happened.

Exactly. Sometimes they show up on the plane ride back. The scary thing is those delayed reactions often take longer to heal. Maybe it's because they weren't recognized right away and they continue to play.

Could be I am not well versed here.. but seems he suffered the concussion right?.. that's why he went to the blue tent.. they must have determined him not to be concussed but this determination was wrong.. he was concussed just not symptomatic yet.. my understanding especially post Tua was when in doubt keep em out essentially..

Your disdain for Ward is hilarious

They weren't in doubt - he showed no signs, so there was no reason to keep him out. You have to go with the information presented. If they immediately ruled out everyone who they took to the blue tent anyway then what would be the point of the evaluation for symptoms? It would be different if he had shown lack of motor functions on the field, but he didnt.
