You don't get any stats for being doubled, but you do for # targets, # of yards, # of yds YAC, # of blocks, etc. Whereas McCaf was greatly reduced in what he did against LAC, he was routinely doubled, and Khalil was one of those guys doubling him in case of run, or short pass in close. So how does one value the effect of a RB/WR being doubled most every play? Because with McCaf, we are going to see a lot more of that.
I would like to see us feed him at lest 20 plays /game , which is a lot. But 10 carries and 10 targets? That doesn't seem excessive particularly when he is the surest handed RB or WR we have. He is also dynamite between OGs. There's no question that McC being doubled has gotten #85 wide open and Jauan has had a couple receptions where he was wide open. How do you rate that? McCaf's numbers are going to fall off because of all the doubles. But that just raises runs and completions for other RBs/WRs. Still, how does one value that?
It would seem to make a case for more plays for McCaf if he is going to be doubled every play, having other guys being open, both in runs and passes.

. Jeff Wilson made the Deebo/Wilson backfield work because he was willing to lead block. I didn't know whether the 49ers would use CMC as a lead blocker. That answers that.
