That is just unreal

All these years b***hing about Alex Smith and his check downs. And then we don't have one since. And now the check down unlocks Kyle's offense. That's some irony! LOL
It's not just checking down it's having a competent qb that knows what's going on. Neither Alex or jimmy could do this

LOL. Nobody is talking about Jimmy Garoppolo.

We're talking about what CMC opens up for ALL 49er QB's.

The second he arrived you could see his impact esp. being that security blanket if the primary receiving options were covered. You no longer have to force throws. Just go through your progressions and hit CMC on the check down if they aren't there. He's always open.

Then, all the carries and attention early in games sucked up the defense so Kyle could call plays off that.

He's also getting better as an IZ rusher. Kyle can also use him on screens and as a primary receiver from 3 different positions or as a decoy.

His value is immense and something we haven't had since Ricky Watters?

Even if Gire?

LOL. He was the man. Master inside the T's. And a good receiver to boot too. But he wasn't a receiver like Watters and CMC were/are IMHO.

frank >> watters.

cmc needs another 5 years to compare with frank
I know the biggest story these last few weeks is the Purdy Cinderella story. But damn, I'm still elated how we acquired a 26 year old franchise type player that fits Shany's system like a glove. His production and presence opens up for the rest of his teamates. Perfect and timely trade when the team is in the middle of a playoff chase. Team is humming now and probably the most dangerous team going into the playoffs. What a trade and big kudos to Lynch and team again for executing this.

I underestimated the effect CMC would have on the offense, but I should have known better. His ability to be dynamic in the run and pass game is exactly the boost this offense needed and finally fulfills Kyle's need for a do-it-all RB.

As an inside the T runner, you're not going to find a better RB than Frank.

Nope. 21 was the King of making yards when there were none to be had (excluding Barry).
Guy is great but should get about 15 carries and none in short yardage. Have to be smart.

So true. that's why he was so great between the T's -- getting small in joe staley's butt crack, turning 2 yards to 5. Note he was also our best open field jukester for all skill positions. Plus the classic stiff arm. And best pass pro. And on and on.

Absolute legend.
An offense star and the best offensive player on this team.

today he was pretty awesome, now I get the trade. in that kind of games you see the crop.
9ers are fighting for a wildcard at this point without this dude
Absolutely great trade for sure! Making plays all over the place
