Hunt played in the same system in Cleveland. I don't care what McKinnon said…can you play or not?

Both those guys would have no problem stepping in and doing what they'd be asked to do.

Wouldn't mind McKinnon. Guys a 3rd down machine and great blocker. Definitely better than everyone else we have for that role. He can also bring some SuperBowl luck.

This sucks. He and Trent are the true Super Stars of this offense. Throwing in any RB and they will shine in Kyle's offense is a wish not a fact. We had decent luck but there is no one to replace CMC.

But if it has to happen I'd rather it be now than late in season.

this, the conditions are favorable for his IR stint. Schedule, and Jordan Mason's breakout. If he's not right by then, we'll at least know a lot more about Mason and Guerrendo. It's a good thing we have lots of star players

Guerendo was an outstanding pass catcher in college, Under utilized for sure. Just not sure how long it will take him to learn the full playbook to be a true 3 down back type backup.

Just a thought, but I have been reading about tendinitis and it is micro tears in the tendon which could lead to the worst case scenario……a torn Achilles. So even though he's going on IR and comes back after there's a chance it could rupture which would really suck. If I were him I would see if there's a micro surgery that could strengthen it and would only take 4-6 weeks to heal. I would rather see him lose 6-8 weeks and be in greater shape then have him come back for a short time and end up losing him for a year or more. JMHO Madden curse strikes again!!!!! Anyway I hope the best for him and Go Niners

Not possible as an NFL football player.

rest him as long as he needs so hes fresh for 2nd half and playoffs. Kyle can figure out how to utilize our 60m worth of starting receivers in the meantime

McCaffrey stayed injury free for a surprisingly long time since we traded for him. Guess our luck ran out.
