CMC, Elite RB who will start!

Dude's on my fantasy team. Kind of f**king up my week. Im'ma let it slide though
We gave up a lot on a guy so injured however, that 3rd rounder in 2023 was going to be an underwhelming RB as it is so instead we spend a 2nd and a 4th to make sure it's not a bust.....

Why can't Christian be our Cooper Kupp? Who can guard CMC in the slot, especially on 3rd down? I think the best way to extend Christian's career is to have him out wide more than usual.
Or, why can't he be our Christian McCaffery? He really has no comparison, skillset is very unique actually different from Kupp who's obviously fantastic. Sorry for the little rant, I just don't like comparing elite players.

Cowherd made a decent point in that all the picks we gave up for him would have a difficult time making this roster. Intriguing thought

Literally all but 1 pick made the roster this year. Don't listen to Cowherd. He's a moron.

That's kind of twisting things to make the draft picks given up seem less important. Obviously the skill positions will be hard to crack as a rookie, but there's always a chance to upgrade depth whether it's OL, DB, or DL with those draft picks. Not having those picks will hurt but if CMC is a stud on the field then it's all worth it.

In the last two drafts we've picked 11 players in rounds 2-5 and Huf is the only one who isn't a backup-level player. Maybe Drake Jackson too... eventually.

What about Aaron Banks?

IMO Banks is a backup-level player that we have starting. He wouldn't start over Tomlinson.
But I'd be happy to be wrong about that one day.

Either way, point is that vast majority of 2nd to 5th rounders are backups so giving up 3-4 for CMC is a steal.

Banks has been far better than backup level in his first 6 games. Fans have some illusion that there are good offensive lineman growing on trees in this league. So far from the truth. The o-lineman coming out of college are sooooo far behind the defensive lineman physically being produced it's insane, and they are even further behind coming in from a technique standpoint.

So looking at CMC's injuries…the extent of it is a couple high ankle sprains, A/C joint sprain and hammy pull.

for whatever reason I thought the dude tore his ACL or achilles. I mean sprains suck and can reoccur but not as bad as what I initially thought.

Me too. These aren't bad injuries at all. I think they're actually "good" injuries

Who are they releasing? Coleman? Mason?

I don't know. I've also been wondering about that all day.

Mason, I guess? They're playing Coleman, TDP gets a pass for reasons of ego-preservation (I thought I understood that pick when it happened, but having seen Kyle use him, I don't understand that pick at all). I don't see how it isn't Mason. I suppose that with all the injuries, they could put off the decision, but it has to happen at some point.

They had an open roster spot when they put Moseley on IR.
He has just enough speed to make it to the end zone. Really complete back and kyles family friend. I see why they really wanted the kid. He's skilled and family. They had to save him

You can have any RB in the NFL to put into a Shanahan's scheme, if you get to your second or third choice and haven't mentioned McCaffery then you're fooling yourself.

Ladanian Tomlinson, Marshall Faulk? Barry Sanders maybe? Ok I'm out!!!!

Ok. Let's go get em, they may come cheap.

I wonder if this is somehow related to Carolina moving from natural grass to artificial turf
I'm calling 2 redzone TDs for him on Sunday

if the team were to cut Mason, the Rams would definitely be one of the teams to put in a claim. Coleman, not so much imo.

worry about the SheHawks !!

COLEMAN should be the one to cut !!
First play should be a play-action pass.

Coleman doesn't have to go thru waivers until after the trade deadline, I agree Mason would likely get claimed, and if he didn't, someone would sign him off our PS.
