That's what almost everyone has been saying with Jimmy and that's why losing Trey hurt because we've seen the story with Jimmy twice when we went in deep runs. He can be your qb for the season and he'll stress you out and win games but come the big games in the playoffs when you need your qb to make a play he doesn't. Everything has to be perfect and in the playoffs against the best teams that rarely happens especially in todays game when it's a passing league.

This is exactly what the CMC move is for this year, is hoping we can mask Jimmy and just give him playmakers every where where even he can't f**k up and just spark the whole team. Next year with Trey the potential is much higher

And the potential is much much lower. Not sure why everyone ignores that part. Having difficulty remembering some of treys throws??

Inexperienced Trey Lance gonna suddenly take this team deep in the playoffs, especially with this banged up team.

Do you guys not understand that Jimmy G had a bad shoulder that requires him to have surgery which he still managed to play in the playoffs smh 🤦🏾‍♂️ I am just hope that Kyle Shanahan dails up some good offensive game planning schemes I really don't wanna see Jeff Wilson Jr play much he fumbles way too much we need CMC plugg in there asap

CMC's snap count will depend on how quickly he picks up the verbiage.

Having him out there running basic runs, screens, or routes will be better than any other RB we have. Just get the ball in his hands and let him do the rest.

Not knowing the verbiage could have him running the wrong way or doing the wrong thing. I hope he is a very quick learner and can pick it up fast enough to make an impact in this game. I just don't have high expectations for him this week.

I fully concur. But I also think in general the NFL is more mediocre than 2019, especially the NFC, meaning our same level of play can have more returns. Now add CMC, and Jimmy should have incrementally better performance.

Our SB aspirations this year are tied to being a good team in a poor conference with high volatility and our injury frequency distribution swinging heavily to the beginning of the season.

Ultimately, I don't believe Jimmy can win a Super Bowl, so the value of the CMC trade will be determined next season with Lance.

we are 7 DVOA in passing and 26th in rushing

kyle wants to rush 40 times a game and we hit 16 the other day lol
Lol same route I posted a few pages back. He's going to be wide open, Jimmy. Don't sail the f**king throw, please.

I'm gonna be screaming my head off when Jimmy misses him wide ass open.

I was already thinking that pass in the video was going to miss him.

So looking at CMC's injuries…the extent of it is a couple high ankle sprains, A/C joint sprain and hammy pull.

for whatever reason I thought the dude tore his ACL or achilles. I mean sprains suck and can reoccur but not as bad as what I initially thought.

There's a weird injury narrative out around him. He basically got ran into the ground by Rhule.

Not sure but I heard he's only carried more than 20x in a game once as an RB? I don't mind him getting multiple touches in screens and swings because he's going against DBs instead of running between tackles and smacking into DTs and MLBs.

Uhhhh, no. I found 12 games with 20 or more carries. He averaged nearly 25 touches a game. Run/catch.

He has 1 20+ carry game this season.

Barrows noted that they might just give him 5 offensive plays total. But of course within those 5 plays, he might be required to run right or left or flare out or PP. But the 5 formations will all look the exact same.

But one of the biggest challenges other than learning to speak Kyle, are all the pre snap motions.

JD, any predictions on his snap counts and usage here? I highly doubt he'd be featured 25 times a game here. Maybe?

Imagine fans on a forum thinking they know more about how a qb limits Kyle shanahans offense than Kyle shanahan....

Also, imagine people complaining that the problem is Jimmy like the team should replace him after the starting qb to replace him got hurt for the year....

Almost feels more like people trying to find sources to say, "I told you so" than actual dialogue.

Dont fall too deep into the DVOA stuff. Our passing game has been far from top 10 in the league.
Is he playing this Sunday?

I don't see why Kyle can't give CMC a few.

I see it ramping up after the bye. I expect 20 touches a game.
