CMC, Elite RB who will start!

I wonder how they will use CMC today. I can't imagine he knows many of the plays.

We're going to paying Juice and Cmac around $18M combined. The opportunity cost is, say, an elite edge rusher. Imagine adding someone like Von Miller instead. And this isn't even taking into account the draft picks.

Just because we can use flashy rhetoric like "offensive weapon" doesn't justify the cost. Running backs have short shelf lives and are way too interchangeable. Obviously I am excited to watch him play, but I think this is a dumb move. Hope I'm wrong.

We have one of the best defenses in the league already, and a completely anemic offense. What the front office did makes far more sense than what you propose not to mention it is based in reality to help the team win this year and beyond. Drake Jackson and Bosa will be elite together in years to come. Not too mention we kept an elite player from our biggest competitor in the division at a position they desperately need. Not even close to an overpay.

Spot on. I'm getting so excited about the Drake I can barely contain it.

Totally agree and I bet KC is wondering the same.

The Chiefs will zero In on CMC today, allowing either Kittle, Deebo or Aiyuk to have a big game.

I predict we'll see plenty of points scored today from both teams.

34-31 9ers.
Panthers just turned down two ones for burns for anyone thinking we could get an edge for a similar price as cmc.

Burns will probably end up on a rebuilding team and walk away when his current deal expires. They'll end up with nothing for him. Typical Panthers.
When Mitchell returns, i'd really like to see CMC flexed to the slot on several plays. That's the beauty of this trade. RBs have a short shelf life but he's not just a RB. He can be a damn good receiver too and perhaps he transitions to WR as he gets older to extend his career.

Mitchell is actually a really nice pass catcher as well and imagine how much CMC will raise his game. Like Drake Jackson learning from Nick Bosa-level.

Rams will get him somehow. LOL

I don't think CMC will play that much TBH.

I would agree except they need big help in the O line and at WR. Stafford is getting pounded and they invested a lot in him.

Ok with this trade. I hope we dont ask him to be the bell cow RB.

I agree. I feel going forward(healthy) no player should consistently get more than 10 touches, and never scheme 20 (like Kupp)
Cmc, deebo, kittle, aiyuk should share 35-50 targets. Cmc may consistently get more touches due to hots and dumps.
Juszczyk, jennings, ray-ray, gray can feast on their 2-5 touches.

I feel so bad for defensive players. I absolutely love the idea of Jennings and Juszczyk 1v1 in space against a teams 6th or 7th coverage guy

Thoughts

My thoughts are if he's healthy and we can keep him on his feet, we'll be fine, if we can get all of these damned injuries under control. Last year the guy was playing with a f**ked up throwing hand and shoulder that required surgery. If f**kin Trent Dilfer can win a Superbowl, there's no reason Jimmy can't. Not that it will be easy, or non nerve wracking, but it's far from impossible with the defense we have, if we get most of it back.

Does he understand that not running the ball well IS our biggest offensive problem right now? Would the Giants be 5-1 without Saquon? Not likely. That's how much a special RB can lift a team. And he does not catch like CMC, so I'm gonna respectfully disagree with this take. Once he's comfortable in our system, the rest of the league is screwed.

Who the f**k is Patrice Daughters? And are we talking about CMC or Jimmy?

It was a knock on Jimmy G. Go figure.

Totally useless knock. Like CMC doesn't matter cuz we don't have a QB. I guess we were supposed to trade for Mahomes instead. We messed up guys lol.
