CMC, Elite RB who will start!

Purdy, CMC is your dude. Safety valve, whatever - get it to him often on pass plays and let him do his thing as a playmaker.
lol at the 🤡 takes in the game thread saying mccaffrey has been "below average"

CMC regarding niner's even discussing Baker....
He is the reason we won this game on offense. Such a great weapon and can beat any LB, safety and most cbs

He's pretty much been his primary. And it's a great one!

Difference between McCaf and other "outlet" bailouts, is that MCC knows WHERE to be and WHEN. Watch him and he always is in a position to be able to "bail out". Whether he runs fast or "dawdles" , CMC is always open. Out other bailouts, Deebo, et al, don't have the same knack as McCaf when it comes to knowing exactly where to be when qB is in trouble . McCaf just knows where to be and exactly at the right time. He is the best "bailout" we have had in decades, as far as always being open when QB is in trouble.

Agree with this. He also has a Great ability to make the first guy miss and actually convert some short passes to first downs in space even if he's met before the line to gain.

His biggest "weakness" is he doesn't just burst through the hole like your typical RB. His game is more footwork and patience. It's just not his style to burst up the middle.

This is how guys like Mitchell had better averages up the middle.

In space though CMC is king. It's not even close.

Completely agree.
There was a few plays from the miami game where I felt he could've cut it back and gained good yardage. Hopefully he hits them more these coming games.
I love this dude. Worth every pick and then some.

He's best as a Slot/RB with another back carrying the load on the ground. Kinda like Reggie Bush and Ingram.

See I knew I wasn't the only one, CMC himself admits it

You can use him for OZ too but just not as much early in games. He's who you turn too after the battering rams have worn down the defense. Like Mostert. But you can use him in the passing down any time.

The issue is Juice. Kyle doesn't want to take Juice out for a CMC + Mason backfield esp. for running plays.

I do see the dilemma. Juice is a great blocker and is "one of the guys". But Shanahan has to also see where the best advantages are and having a combo of CMC + Mason in the backfield would really stress defenses out. The way we pull guards and tackles to use as lead blockers makes Juice a bit more expendable imo. It also doesn't mean to keep Juice completely out of the game either. We could simply use the combo as a single package and not an entire gameplan.
