I kept saying throughout the last few games how idiotic Kyle has been with his excessive usage of CMC
The days of the bellcow RB is over. We have not had one of those since Frank Gore

Injuries can happen on the 1st touch of the game or the 20th. It's a physical game. The only way to 100% avoid injury is to not play him at all. You are trying to win football games.

In 2023 you have to use a two back or a three back system. Mason has shown himself to be more than capable. There is no need in 2023 for us to give CMC a Frank Gore load of work

Agree 💯%, the season is a marathon not a one game sprint. Lessons learned all around, including the coaching staff. Hopefully Kyle has to lean on Mason more and get more comfortable with him if CMC is out for a while.
I'd like to see the 2nd string players play more if the Starters are hurt, that will give them an opportunity to develop. Looking at guys like Jayier, Winters, Graham, Mason, Michelle, Ronnie Bell, jaylon Moore to get some more playing time.

CMC has given everything to this team. When Kyle ran him immediately after getting clocked in the head Marquise Goodwin-style, I knew he'd never make it through the season here. Kyle is way too deep into play calling to see the HCing things he should be seeing with his head up, including protecting his best players.

CMC is the heart and soul of this offense. Without him the offense takes a step back.

Big time. I can't put a # on it but he's easily the biggest in volume and value.

So how long is he out? I saw some random article intimating that Saquon be traded to the 49ers now because of the injury. WTF?

The only bright to the CMC and Deebo injuries would be that we have a few weeks to form contingency plans.

It amazes me that this still has to be explained to people.

Hard to blame him for overusing him after seeing what the offense looks like when he's out of the game.

I know it's hard to say, but How long are obliques/ribs injuries linger? Will giving him a rest for this game significantly help that or just more of managing the pain?

Let's see what it looks like vs. the Vikings and Begals first. I'm not sure a game in the rain vs. the league's best defense after we've lost 2 of our top playmakers mid-game is a great barometer for what the offense looks like without CMC.
