CMC, Elite RB who will start!

I would speculate that CMCs early success in games has something to do with the opposition adapting to his quickness. He is so damn quick and elusive it probably takes a series or two to acclimate as a defense, analogous to facing a dominating pitcher where you have to see his stuff a time or two before you adapt. That's my theory and I'm going with it. Also, he is overused. Changing out to Mason more frequently would keep the defense on their toes, alternating between speed and power. I think the same effect could be achieved alternating Mason and Mitchell, even if Mitchell is a drop-off from CMC.

Refer back to my response to that post on the previous page. Its all speculation with no truth. The downside of the eye test is recency bias. He didn't need to do much in the 2nd half of the Cowboys game as it was a blowout and our starters were pulled late in the 3rd quarter. He got injured early in the 3rd quarter of the browns game. Every other game, he has had several 10+ yard runs including a 45 yarder and 51 yarder that happened after the opening drive.

CMC had that 45 yard TD run in the 3rd quarter of the PIT game. He had a 51 yard run on the 2nd drive of the rams game. He had a 17 yard run on the 3rd drive against the giants. Had an 18 yard TD run on the 2nd drive of the ARI game. Also a 16 yard run in the 3rd quarter of the ARI game. He has also had several 10-13 yard runs throughout the season that occured in the 2nd half of games. These past two weeks must have your eye tester off.
Day 2 and still no update wtf is going on

I'm not saying he doesn't have a big play occasionally in the 2nd half. It just seems like the running game which is mostly CMC struggles a lot after the first series. Lot's of 2 yard gains instead of 5 yard gains. It may be Kyle's play calls or maybe it is just the other team adjusting.

They do this a lot. Stay mum on Monday, then Tuesday is a no practice/no media day... so possibly we won't get news until tomorrow's practice report to keep Minnesota in the blind as long as possible.

I heard yesterday that it will likely be Thursday which is when they have to make an official injury report (Late because of the Monday night game.)

Its like that around the entire NFL. No RB is busting off 5+ yards on every single run except maybe Achane from MIA. Like I stated, Both CMC and Mason have had several 10+ yard runs in the 2nd half of games. CMC, Mason and Deebo are all averaging over 5 YPC. We are on pace to almost double our best rushing TD season which was in 2019.

They may be getting opinions from other sources. Not all MRIs are clear. There's often a difference of opinion on injuries that are marginal.

We went through this with Brock. It took some time before they could finally decide on how to treat his elbow.

WONT it be more wise if we just rest him against the Vikings and use BABY BEAST MODE w/THE PRICE IS RIGHT?

crap, we need to see how 24 and 32 are when they are needed full time.

I also heard that CMC is very private about his injuries. He only releases what he has to release.

Keeps players from targeting those injured areas.

Since I've seen Dallas and Cleveland try to rip his off head off consecutive weeks I think he should just assume the worst every game.
I'm okay with holding CMC out of the Vikings game. They aren't nearly as good as the Browns on defense. Let him rest. The other RBs should be able to handle the load. If they have to pass a little more than that's okay too.

brah, if he's going to be limited and not be 90%, then why play him.. we SHOULD NOT care if he wins the rushing title or score another TD .. we want him healthy all year long !!

REST THE GUY !!!

we need to see 24 and 32... Especially Price since we used a 3rd on the guy !!

I'm not sure if sitting out the game would affect his TD streak. That may only apply to games he plays.
