My opinion, it is so stupid to play CMC against the vikes. It's the friggin Vikings!!! I've watched all thier games cause my GF is a vikes fan and they are horrible. We don't need CMC to beat this team! Sit him and give Mason the ball. We'll be fine! And as some have pointed out here, even if we happen to lose to the vikes we are still 5-2. Still worth it to sit McCaffery IMO…….

cause if he really hurts himself and we lose him for an extended amount of time, we are screwed. Especially if we are already minus Deebo.

this

X2
It's football fellas. You can sit him for 3 weeks and he can still twist an ankle on his first play back in action. That's why player and coaches mostly dismiss the idea of resting healthy guys. They only one play away from being gone for 6 weeks

Screw it. Play him till the wheels actually do finally fall off. Then it's next man up. Cause it's football and CMC is replaceable.

We should sit Brock too right?

Yup. Freak accidents happen all the time, and football players are always sore in some way.
Now I don't to Kyle should run him into the ground and give him his regular over work load. Let Mitchell get a lot more reps and close the game with Mason.
The past three posts or so (unless i'm completely missing the irony) are exactly how Shanahan ruins players and rosters. If McCaffrey needs a week or two, DO IT. don't let him drop into this game when you have Mitchell and, more importantly, Mason. and run the risk of him going out for the year or extended time.

Shanhan is a great play caller. Horrible player manager. Be smart!

yeah. he's overused McC already. Lets draft a binding united nations resolution to keep shanny from buring out his bell cows.

LOL, CMC on the sidelines scares defensive coordinators.

... SOUNDS about right... it'll be close to a perfect post had you used " Horrible HC " instead.

Confirmed touchdown, CMC.
I don't blame anyone for not exactly knowing just how bad the Vikings are. There's really no reason to watch them at all. I watch them cause my GF is a huge fan. I'll be at tonight's game with about 15 other Vikings fans, all her family of course. I'm praying for a win cause it would be a personal nightmare if they happen to stumble into a loss tonight while I'm here at the game all decked out by myself, surrounded by Viking horns.

That being said, it's disappointing that Kyle doesn't have the balls to stand up to CMC and tell him he's not playing tonight, cause we won't need you to beat this team big fella. Take the time off and get better. I know you want to play but we are gonna need you way more when we play the big teams we will actually need you to beat them. If they can't beat this team with the injures we have then we have much bigger problems to address.

Is it that hard for some people to understand? We are one of the best teams in the league. We are playing one of the worst teams that has a bunch of injuries. We are loaded, even with the injuries we have. Kinda common sense to me to sit the most important guy and let him heal. It's the Vikings, not the cowboys or the eagles. If we were playing one of those teams, yeah, I'd understand him playing.

But hey, it is what it is. Now I just gotta hope for a low workload and no new injuries.

CMC's are a dime a dozen. There are probably ten CMC's right now on various team's practice squads.

The mental trap of having CMC cleared to play, but instead sitting him, is the message it sends to the other players - "oh this game is in the bag, let's take it easy we got this." I think more importantly is how many touches and snaps CMC gets. That should be managed carefully if his ribs are tender.
This guy is all heart. Gotta love it
