This team is running him into the ground. I know he's good, but remember all the great running plays we got with speedy/straight line guys like Brieda/Mostert (and MItchell for a year). Change it up! Wear them down then bring in a fresh speed guy.

I wonder how many more prime seasons he has left with Kyle running him into the ground.

And it's not like we have scrubs as backups either. Mason and Mitchell are quality backups that need to be utilized more.

Agreed with the first sentence. The OPOY can't average 3.5 yards a carry and fumble in the Superbowl. Inexcusable.

There was a time where "running back by committee" was a thing in this offense (Wilson, Breida, Mostert, Coleman). I'm not saying that's what we should do, but give CMC a break every once in a while. Major injury bug was avoided for the most part of this year, but there were some pretty scary moments when CMC went down.

Love me some CMC , if we won this year he would have fit this profile as well as he was only a $3M cap hit this year .
next year is a different story

Re-watched the SB, which was not easy.
CMC had an incredible year and he's one of the best players on this team...that said, you cannot fumble in the biggest game of the year - the biggest game of your career.
The Niners were starting off the game great on that first drive in moving right down the field - they had a chance to make an early statement, set the tone, and put the Chiefs on their heels right away.
I actually couldn't believe he fumbled. But I do like how he and the team came back strong...this team had that game right there for the taking. Despite everything that happened the remainder of the game (fluke Luter play was brutal), it's very possibly converting on that third down at the 2-minute mark does it.
Been watching CMC here in the Bay Area since his Stanford days. Have always appreciated his all-around skills as a runner, receiver, blocker...playmaker. Wasn't sure the Niners should take him with the #3 overall pick in 2017 but wouldn't have been disappointed if they did.
Looking forward to seeing CMC and the team respond and come back strong from that tough ending to the season.

Not even one. Guaranteed this poor guy goes down at some point next season. Kyle has Eli and Mason and refuses to use both. What an odd coach…

It was pretty shocking that he fumbled, especially, after calling himself an idiot earlier in the season over another fumble that affected the game...was it the Browns game? I forgot. But then he decided to wear gloves I think? But yeah..to go into a group of Chiefs defenders without real ball security was ugh. Sometimes I think this crap is rigged lol. Just mistakes where it's like...man, really? Lol
