Reading a lot about it and it seems serious. Like the next step is a rupture. Also, it takes forever to heal, if ever. And it comes back with too much activity.

I'm wondering if preventative surgery vs reconstructive surgery might be a solution. I.e. instead of repairing a torn achilles - can you reinforce it to prevent it from rupturing in the first place?
