I looked around after his tear but could never find confirmation if it was in fact the same Achilles that he previously had issues with

I never would have ever imagined that possibly putting CMC in IR would be good news but that's where I am right now. I had this fear he would come back before being 100% and would tear his achilles and be done for the season. Putting him on IR would allow him to get fully healthy. We don't need him in the 1st half of the season, We need him in the 2nd half and playoffs.

I thought is was rather idiotic and lazy to rarely if ever spare CMC. Then some of the games where we could have blown it open but we played so conservatively keeping games close enough to not rotate in another back was ridiculous as well
