I'm surprised folks here aren't talking more about him seeking treatment in Germany. To me, that's a big deal. It suggests rest isn't doing the trick. And you have to figure he'll need recovery time from whatever treatment he receives. For example, PRP can cause localized and temporary inflammation. I'm starting to think we don't see CMC this season.

There was a poster that said he won't play more than 8 games, which I thought was crazy at the time, but once he didn't play week 2 and got IR'ed, I figure he was done for half the season. No way he was coming back week 5. So in my mind it's still no CMC until November- there are no red flags yet.
I'm starting to think CMC negotiated in bad faith and bent the 9ers over on the way out.

Maybe he feels the same way after 400 touches last year lol

And he woulda took more if he could have. How many times did they show CMC refusing to come out of the game? Too many times to remember.
Yeeea.. As soon as I heard Achilles.. I knew his season was shot. He's not playing this year folks.
The Panthers traded him because he's injured a lot and not available. The best ability is availability. Definitely great when healthy. But a lot of little nicks and injuries. Last year was the anomaly. It's actually not typical of him across his career to be healthy or mostly healthy all season long.
With his treatment in Germany, he is now expected to play week 6 at Seattle. The silver lining of our 2 losses is that they expedited the return of our best player.

If we win our next 3 games and Seattle loses at Detroit this week, we are first place in our division.

Exactly him going to Germany is not that it's worst it's that he was going to need t6 to 8 weeks rest and him and the team know we can't wait that long for him to get back because we will be out of the playoffs if that happens. Out offense is nowhere close to same as when he's on the field whether he touches the ball or not.
This might be the end for CMC.
I think weve seen the best of CMC and id be surprised if he plays again this season

Hard for me to believe the 49ers did not know about this injury or scope of the injury when they put that money on him.
