CMC, Elite RB at Practice!

Not super optimistic about him, but am I missing something? All current reports are he is ramping up Jo's week or next and will be back first week or so of nov. now whether that actually happens is another thing. But haven't heard anything about the 2 Achilles thing and the bi-lateral stuff was already brought up last week
We really needed to win the SB this year. We were completely stacked. There was no excuse. Now, we lose CMC:(. That is going to affect chances of making the playoffs fs. . Hope he responds well to the treatment but I am not hopeful, long term at the moment unless we get more info on positive progress . Bummer really.

I haven't heard that either. I heard he's looking forward to beginning practice again. It may be something he will have the rstof his career and will need to deal with. It doesn't mean he's going to tear it. If he does then that's a different story. Even then it can be repaired. Klay Thomson and Durant both went through it and still play at a fairly high level.

Trying to replace CMC will be really hard. There are very few RBs that have his complete skill set. They could consider switching him to slot receiver to lighten his load a little.
How tf does a "minor injury" that happened against Washington last year, that he played throughout the playoffs turn into this?!

insane

Even IF he returns I highly doubt he will be anywhere near the same player we're familiar with…any hope of winning a Super Bowl is all but done without a productive CMC. Not to mention the defense and STs is horrendously bad

With that diagnosis you are probably correct. He may tear one of his Achilles which for a running back is the end of a career. Sucks, IMO I think Kyle ran him into the ground.

I kinda have to agree some, I do wish they used Mason more. It's too bad, one of the best RBs fs

I don't think he ran him into the ground. I don't know the exact numbers, but do you really think if we lightened his workload with say...50 less carries a season we would have avoided this? Sure it may have helped, but his injuries are like Thanos. They're inevitable. This was always the outcome for CMC. If this didn't happen before the season it would have definitely happened during the season.

I'm still holding out hope for like a week 8 return

It did seem like we could of used Mason a lot more in the second half of games than we did last year. I think we rode CMC harder during the regular season than we needed to.

It is pretty discouraging. And I think I agree about CMC.

Yeah, agree. CMC is a beast but not superhuman. People were saying it a lot, to not use him so much and here we are.
Definitely overused CMC last season. Particularly in the super bowl. 30 touches for CMC. More than the entire rest of the team combined. Complete misuse of all the other weapons available

My understanding is tendonits etc... that stuff is wear and tear, overuse etc. The only thing you can do is rest is as much as possible and let it heal. Next offseason he needs to play some video games for about 2-3 months straight, then get back in shape

It's the way Kyle uses his players. Look at Deebo yesterday. Coming off calf injury, has him already lined up in the backfield.

Most fans knew we had a good one in Mason. Could have easily incorporated him heavy into the backfield and split time with cmc. But coach dips**t couldn't help himself

I have tendonitis in both knees but of course I don't play football. People respond differently to various therapies. Cortisone shots (prednisone} in my back actually helped my tendonitis in the knees for a little while. You never know until you try it. There are so my different treatments available now that there's always hope.

Everyone knew (except for the Shanafans) that Kyle was running him into the ground. Not just him. Everyone has gripe with Kyle on how he plays Deebo. Look at how he was playing Lance.

you give Kyle a shiny new toy, he plays with it like a 2 year old toddler. And most objective fans (outside the Kyle fan club) knew that Mason was a good player that should be getting more than just mop up duty.

sorry you can't spin yourself out of this. Kyle overplayed his star running back.
