CMC, Elite RB on the mend

All the folks clamoring for Shanny to manage CMC's workload were correct. I remember Shanny running CMC in games we already sealed. Ran him into the ground.

Shouldn't have shelled out more money for him ????????‍??
Does anyone know or has anyone ever heard of another NFL player having to retire due to Achilles tendonitis?

lol funny. Of course there's someone to blame. Players do what they feel is right for their body. That includes both season and offseason programs. Sure you can't manage what CMC does during the offseason but you sure as hell can manage his in season training. Part of it is why some players are given rest days during the practice week. Part of it is why you allocate a certain amount of snaps to a player during a game. No player….correction…no STAR player is going to ask to be sidelined at any point during a game, whether you're down by 50 or up by 50.

it is the COACH's JOB to make sure he's not overplaying his main asset into the ground. Collectively as a fanbase there were plenty of times last season where we were questioning why CMC was still in the game when we were up big. There were plenty of times we questioned why Mason or Elijah were not getting more of a workload.

Amazing how some of you brush this off as well he only played so much because he wanted to and Kyle had no control over it. Yea right. The same guy that gave Ronnie Bell 40 snaps vs the Rams knowing he's a liability at the receiver spot has no control over how much CMC plays in a game.

Give me a break

Lol, if you have a random muscle spasm, you wanna blame it on Shanny lol no surprise there. I do think he could have managed him better though.
It was idiotic to run CMC into the ground when it was clear that Jordan Mason was capable of starting even last year. We could have used him as change of pace even in the Super Bowl but we didn't

The bias is realzzz. But in this case, no one can or should argue that Shanahan didn't overplay his top offensive player…
Someone show me where tendinitis caused from overuse in January would last till September.

or admit that it's more likely that cmc trained his ass off in the offseason and didn't allow himself appropriate time to heal.

i was late paying my phone bill last month….was that Kyle's fault too?

confirmation bias in full flight
It wouldn't hurt to manage CMC a tad better in blowout games and short yardage scenarios but the passing game does take a hit more so than running game.

Like I said, it sounds like you don't watch/pay attention to other teams besides the niners.

This isn't a Kyle / 49ers thing, this is league wide. Especially if you have a good RB, they are going to get used. This is not baseball with a pitch count.

Yes, the loss in the Super Bowl lead by Kyle as the coach caused mental frustration and you forgot about paying your bill.

I doubt we'll see CMC again in a Niners uniform.

I was thinking something similar. CMC gets married. does the honeymoon and travel thing, but his normal offseason schedule was thrown off and he did some catch up with resulted in too many reps in a smaller window causing the tendinitis to flare up.
Shanahan's fanboys don't wanna talk about the fact that now Mason is in pace for 387 carries.

CMC last year: 272
I just hope he's able to play again at all let alone this year
