Probably a blessing in disguise at this point. Imagine him injuired his achilles and snapped it.
Mason and Isaac time to carry the load.

I had a PCL injury, and was a few years older than CMC when it happened.
Just rehab/therapy, and no surgery. Came back stronger in that knee than it had ever been,
and continued to be sports active.
With the way sports medicine is today, I think he'll be fine. Just glad it wasn't his Achilles.

It's probably the best thing that could have happened to him. He can sit out the rest of the year while this garbage team loses out and not bang up his body behind a dumpster fire OL for a team that's going nowhere.
Hopefully he can rehab and come back next year, if the team is any good. If not ask to be traded to a contender. He has earned that.

He has a dead cap of 22 million next year. He's not getting traded until 2026 at a minimum.

The previous #CMC play is likely where knee injury happens. Worry for right knee PCL sprain on shoestring tackle. The next run, he doesn't feel right and goes down. pic.twitter.com/aeQfmoS53x

Glad to hear you're better than ever. Hoping for the same for CMC.

CMC was looking great but again he is an injury prone player always have been sure we hope he comes back fit next season but from now 49ers need to start having a two/three headed monster like most other NFL sides, he cannot carry the bell cow thing anymore.

He hasn't earned the right to ask for a trade.
He demanded a pay increase and then came out and didn't produce this year.

Yeah I'm pretty pessimistic that he will ever be the same but what do I know?

Sucks because he looked like his normal self prior, but All things considered, pcl sprain isn't too bad. Just shut him down for the season and give him more rest

Just sit him for the rest of the year and hope he can be productive next season. Absolutely zero benefit in playing him the next 5 games

I agree that it makes no sense to play him unless the Niners win the next 2 and Seattle loses 2. Their next 3 games are Arizona, GB and Minnesota. Then they play the Bears in Chicago on 12/26 so weather could be a factor.
