Oohhhh, we're still ok with picks including our probowl 5th rounder pick. We don't have many holes on this team. I thought I was going to go on vacation that week and just forgrt about the draft.

Let's get 6 picks and we'll be fine (2nd, 4th, and 4 5th's)

NC do we know which 3rd they gave up? I have to think it's one of the two comp picks.

Can you trade a Comp pick? I thought no? Comp picks I recall are the last picks of each round.

With what? Only can trade players for players. Unless some team wants niners 2024-2025 picks?
I like how awesome CMC is as a player, but he is injury-prone. Shanahan must be having dreams about how he could utilize CMC.

That being said, its scary to trade four picks for one high risk-high reward player for a position that arguably takes the most physical punishment. Especially given the Niners' injury history. Maybe they think that two negative injury histories make a positive and that CMC's presence will magically lift the injury curse on this team (I would love if that is what happened, but the practical part of me thinks it is unlikely).

If CMC gets injured this season or fails to be available in future seasons due to injury, this move is going to look really bad. I'm still rooting for the Niners and hoping they'll do dazzling things with CMC. Let's see if this gamble is going to pay off.

good player, but i don't like this trade. Why didn't we trade for a center or cb a more pressing need? Or uses these draft pics to move up in the draft

RB was a need. Love Wilson but he's not the back you can count on to deliver every week. Mitchell is a #1 back but once he comes back it's pretty good odds he will miss more games the remainder of the season. I thought Mason was going to get more touches, and Coleman, once Mitchell and TDP went out. CMC,Mitchell,Deebo,Yuk,Kittle,Juice lined up will create a lot of match up problems.
49er fan: "We never sign anyone good, all the other teams getting the good players"
Also 49er fan: "What? Christian McCaffery sucks. why do we trade for these guys?"

Yeah trading for one of the best players in the league is a total desperation move.

And he's only 26, some people just love to complain no matter what.

Yup. Much better to run the plodding, undynamic Jeff Wilson, Tevin Coleman, whatever other miscreant you want to throw out there. Top 4 RB in the league easy. It's not like we got Zeke or something.

Some of our fans complain about every single thing. You gotta just learn to ignore it. The true fans are mostly hyped as hell thinking about how explosive and versatile this offense just got. An elite RB in this system can be absolutely ridiculous!

You know how many RBs they can draft?

LFG!

Here's the thing with that:

Huge need and KS knows it. We ran for like 50 yds as a team last week with another killer fumble from Wilson. The rooks aren't ready and Wilson was effing up. The entire identity is pound the rock and KS didn't have the horses to do it.

That rule has changed and they can be traded
I've been a long time member of the you don't pay RBs club but f**k it I'm f**king psyched!
Also RB you can plug and play.. especially a pro like CMC.. he may be very limited if at all this weekend.. after that it's full usage I imagine
Just quietly here for the CMC party
