I wouldn't call trading a 2nd, 3rd and 4th round pick next year mortgaging the future. It's on e season. What are the chances that they would get a player as good as CMC in any of those rounds. Probably zero. They're going to have at least two 3rd round compensatory picks so that covers the 3rd and the 4th rounder that they traded.
